thank you. my grandma was like this before she started having dementia. exactly like this, she didn't show her emotions, disn't respond to other people's emotions in a way that felt "normal".

But she was part of a non profit fighting domestic violence and would work as a phone operator to give DV victims advice on what to do. she was deeply involved in politics and fought teeth and nails for what she believed in. every time we went to her house, she cooked, cleaned, organised everyday so that we were sure to have fun and enjoy the holidays. she taught us how to clean and keep a home tidy, and she knit fantastic jumpers for us. I love my grandma and I don't care if she never said she loves me. she expressed it in many,, many different way, all I had to do was pay attention.
