How to make a cloud mobile ☁️
babie made a cloud mobile and papa helped hang it up! ☁️ I got a burn booboo on my hand but papa put a bandaid on it so it's okay 🌙
Needle (you may need some help with this part if you're tiny!)
Hot glue gun (you may need some help with this part if you're tiny!)
Wrap the fluffy yarn around the embroidery hoop, adding hot glue underneath it as you go so that it stays in place (you may want to ask your cg for help with the hot glue gun so you don't get a booboo!)
Cut 7 long strands of thread
Tie the end of each strand around the embroidery hoop, making sure they are equally spaced
Make some clouds! Gently pull at the sides of a cotton ball to fluff it up. It may look a bit flat, but that's okay! Do this to about 2 or 3 cotton balls, and hot glue them together to make your cloud. This will give it dimension, and you can gently pull at the cloud to fluff it up more if you wish. There is no such thing as a perfect cloud, they are all unique and fluffy and beautiful! You can do it!
Repeat step 4 until you have 7 clouds
Now time to attach your fluffy friends to the mobile! Choose one of the 7 strands attached to the hoop and thread the free end of it through a needle (don't be afraid to ask for help with this step!). Choose a cloud, and poke the needle through the top.
This is where you will decide how low you want your cloud to hang. I decided to do mine in a spiral, but you can do whatever you wish! In this tutorial, I will explain how to make the spiral.
For this first cloud, pull the thread through the top of the cloud until the cloud hangs a couple inches below the hoop.
Make a few loops through the top of the cloud with your needle and thread, and then tie a knot at least two times!
For the remaining clouds, follow steps 8, 9 and 10, letting each cloud hang a teeny bit lower than the previous one.
Ta da!! Now you have your cute cloud mobile! Now it's time to hang it. This may take some imagination to make sure it's level when you hang it. I struggled with this part, to be honest, but eventually I got it to work! You can do it! If you need help, message me and I will do my best, or ask your cg, friend, or family member to help!
