40 years ago: Tokyo 85 Mazda MX-03 Concept, 1985. A grand touring coupé prototype powered by a 320hp 3-chamber rotary engine with 4-wheel drive and 4-wheel steering. The dashboard and steering yoke were influenced by aircraft design. Though the MX-03 never made it into Mazda’s showrooms, it was developed into the Eunos Cosmo of 1990, which did.
