I remember a while ago I made a poll either on Twitter or on Tumblr that was about what you'd assume if you saw someone identify as pro recovery for transness.

Most people voted they'd assume it's some conversion therapy shit. Very few picked the option that was about "giving trans people means to take care of their mental health". I wish I'd screenshot that.

There's really, really no need to whitewash "pro recovery for paraphilia" into "self care and self acceptance". It's a stance that was born out of hate and violence, and it becomes clear the second you put it in a context of a slightly different identity.

@osteophilia why not "rehabilitation"? "Recovery" already has a really bad track record as a word in para spaces. I don't think you can sufficiently separate it from conversion therapy even if you make disclaimers, because that kind of public keeps flocking to it.

The Paraphilia Research Archive is a public, living library of books, papers, and research on paraphilia, atypical sexuality, and the broader social and psychological contexts that shape them.

I built this archive because I kept running into the same problem: information disappearing. Studies quietly taken down, texts harder to access, entire lines of inquiry treated as too dangerous or too taboo to remain visible. Over the past several years, as cultural attitudes around sex and the deviant have hardened, it has become increasingly difficult to find nuanced, evidence-based material in one place.

This archive exists to preserve that knowledge and keep it accessible to researchers, survivors, and anyone trying to understand rather than react.

I am not a neutral institution. I am a person who came to this work through lived experience. After surviving sexual abuse throughout childhood and into adulthood, I found myself unable to accept explanations rooted only in disgust or moral panic. I wanted to understand the mechanisms, the patterns, the realities, the why. That search led me deep into the trenches of academic literature, and eventually into collecting and preserving it so others wouldn't have to start from scratch the way I did.

I have not read every text housed in the archive. I may not agree with every single one, and some may be out of date. Preservation and access come first. This is a library, not a canon.

What I believe (and what guides this project) is simple:

Knowledge reduces harm

Precision matters more than panic

Attraction is not the same thing as action

People are accountable for what they do, not for the mere fact of their inner landscape

Research consistently shows that stigma and forced silence make prevention harder, not easier. When entire groups are treated as irredeemable abstractions rather than human beings, we lose the ability to intervene early, support accountability, and build systems that actually protect people.

My politics are rooted in liberation and material reality. The struggles around sexual stigma intersect with feminism, queer liberation, disability justice, anti-carceral thought, youth rights, and broader fights against social marginalization. None of these movements exist in isolation, and neither does the work of understanding sexuality.

This archive is not about sensationalism, and it is not about excusing harm. It is about refusing a world where curiosity is treated as complicity and where ignorance is mistaken for virtue.

Paraphiles are people. Survivors are people. The public deserves accurate information.

If we want a world with less abuse, less secrecy, and more accountability, then access to knowledge is not optional, it is foundational.

Genuinely kinda offputting how anti-para the objectum community is. Like so much of the community is in denial abt their attraction being a paraphilia at all, and they think that being objectum is somehow not like other paraphilias, even tho... like... you like kissing computers? You have an attraction that does not match with normative standards of attraction? Am I missing something? Their point of argument is that objectum relationships are based off of respect and love and paraphilias are not, Intentionally or not, demonizing paraphilias as cold and unloving. I don't know why so many objectums think LGB'ing themselves out of the paraphile community will do them any good, it never has done good for any community ever, but history'll keep on repeating itself ig :'>

One of my friends showed me two different bloggers on here who said they have been harmed on pediverse, both by specific people and the general atmosphere.

I don't actually know how to find you all myself, but I'm interested in listening to you, because I've been trying to do something about the stuff that's going on there for a long time, and it feels like nobody but my friends were listening to me.

It's a bad place that doesn't have a mechanic to get rid of abusers, and at the point in time when I left it, it was heavily under influence of a person who makes people give him doxxy info on themselves and a person who runs csem sites.

If someone else has seen the things I've seen, or worse, we need to do something.

Some people mistaken your contact stance as how much you are willing to act on said paraphilia.

Example: I recently read a comment by someone stating that if you're comp-c for 🗺️ that means you're okay with viewing CSAM.

I'm comp-c because I don't want to talk over plural folk as a singlet since I don't know how being a minor alter in an adult body would work when it comes to sexual or romantic matters.

I don't think viewing CSAM or chrono-child x chrono-adult is okay at all.

Crook is a mod on the transID experience, tried to remove the post before it got deleted by the poster, and even warned me and other beings about the situation.

We don't know about the first account but you specifically do not seem like someone who would go out of their way to doxx or harass people at random, so we would like to hear from you as well before forming any opinions in case there's some sort of discourse we are unaware of.

This person must be misinformed. I literally did the exact opposite and warned others about that user and reported them.

Radqueertransid also changed url, but I’m not sure if I want to share it because she’s already receiving the social consequences for more drama she started in the tcc community. I know the url because the audit log gets updated whenever the url of anyone who’s account or post was removed changes.
