Master thesis adventures #05:

Finished writing notes for The Discovery Of Humanity by David Abulafia

Wrote down some thoughts and ideas inspired by said book

Emailed my advisor to give her a general update

Reread old notes of another class that I thought might be helpful and wrote down some stuff on my thesis commonplace book

Looked for a book I heard about that might be useful for my thesis

When I tell you today was so productive for these early stages of my research I am not joking. I can feel my brain working and connecting stuff, and I have not felt this academically alive in a long time. I am so motivated and I love it. I am finally back into my academic weapon form. I do need to make a big study plan for the next few months since I will have to simultaneously work on my last exam, buy my short term goals regarding my thesis are finishing reading this edition of Vespucci's letters and read the other edition I got since I should find a couple of new things there.

Maths- my teacher explained how to prove that arcsin(1/2) + arcsin(1/3) = pi/4 so that’s all cool

Reviewed some of last year’s biology content, and i did delightfully well- I went over biochemical tests as well

Unforch I have a bunch of stupid forces to stupid resolve into stupid parallel and perpendicular directions

Had a practice for the school music thing and it seems we transcribed and arranged the music well!!! Yay!!

In Biology the class threw the teacher a little birthday party because she said she never gets to celebrate her birthday since her stepdaughter’s birthday is on the same day. It was super sweet and lovely and the teacher spent the whole lesson wearing a party hat and grinning like :D

We learnt about the link reaction and Kreb cycle. It’s tricky, gang. Photosynthesis it just went straight into my brain but respiration hasn’t so I gotta do something about that!

Also had my flute lesson, worked on the cadenza from the Chaminade

the weather today is so agreeable that I plan to sit outside all morning!

My productivity goals are as follows:

Read, and take notes on, the essay for the class I TA.

Craft my weekly discussion section handout, based on the readings.

attend my Wednesday evening lecture.

I already worked out and went on a long, meandering walk through the park 🍂
