Malachi was excited to spend some time with Carlie. It had been a little while since they’d been able to hang out and he definitely enjoyed the time that they’d spent together. Soon after cleaning up the last few things in his apartment, Malachi changed into a pair of black jeans and a grey shirt, finding it much more appropriate for the night than he’d been wearing to clean.
It took him a little while to make his way to the bar, having never been there before, but soon enough he was parking the car and then heading through the doors. He caught sight of Carlie soon afterward and smiled as he walked towards her. “Hey, got some room for an opponent?”
"Only one brave enough to take on the challenge. I'll be nice enough to warn you, pool is what I was born to do." Carlie did her best to not smile too much, she didn't want Malachi to know how happy she was to be around him. In reality Carlie didn't have time for feelings, not with work and taking of her dad. It was in her nature to hold back.
The only people she dropped her act with was her dad and Prestyn.
"Rack the balls up and I'll pour you a drink." Carlie smiled. If he knew how to properly arrange the billiard balls Carlie would know whether or not he was a serious pool player.
Carlie turned toward the table and tipped the pitcher at an angle to minimize the foam. She handed Malachi his drink then smiled. "I'm impressed."
