Because that’s how Taylor sells albums, she pretends like the entire world is against her to garner support from vulnerable and impressionable people who desperately want to see that kind of story of someone overcoming all the odds to be successful. It’s a false image that Taylor invented for herself 10-11 years ago with her first album and it’s become such an integral part of her brand that she’s willing to go to any length to protect it.

My dad told me recently that the most important public health workers are garbage collectors and janitors. So much of our health relies on a clean environment. These people do some of the most important work in society. If we learned in dirty public environments full of garbage, we’d all be sick. I cannot thank these people enough for the valuable work that they do.
