I’m a 40-year-old woman who has been playing the Sims since the year 2000.
Maxis, EA, whoever it is, they’re not really going to do anything. They know that CC drives interest in this game. We’ve been having the same fights over pay content sharing and doxxing since the Sims 1 days.
The only way to prevent people from sharing your CC is to never upload it to the internet to begin with. That’s it. Make it for personal enjoyment, but you can never share it with anybody.
That is what I have learned. It will always leak. People will always share it. No amount of tracking, no retaliatory tactics, will stop people from sharing your CC. The EULA is specifically written to facilitate CC sharing, because you provide free marketing to EA. So if you are selling CC, count your lucky stars that you have been able to make some money, sometimes a lot of money, doing this, and relax.
Has anyone posted/drawn attention to the video Simmer Erin posted 4 hours ago about the controversy? I haven't finished watching it, but I was kinda surprised she did post something on it.

These magnificent trellises, inspired by those of the Bosquet de l'Encelade, in the gardens of Versailles, will undoubtedly add a touch of elegance and refinement to your gardens.
Today I bring you the good old OMSP’s. Because I often realize how much I miss them in game. You may think that them are unnecessary, because you can move the objects up in height with the moveobjects-cheat (‘moo’) and because many creators provide their surfaces with a lot of slots. You’re right, but still I think it makes sense. How many times do I have a surface or whatever in game that doesn’t have the slots I would like. So it’s not up to me to edit them in S4S, because it’s not my creation. And in height you can adjust the objects in only 10cm steps. Then sometimes there is a gap between the object and the surface. Indeed there are a few OMSP’s, for example from Severinka or Kitcat Simporium but only for the classic surfaces and seating but not for every height.
So I made 10 small OMSPs covering every centimeter, not Milimeter, that would lead too far. ^^ You can also adjust the height when the 'moo’ is active, so you can place almost any decoration for surfaces anywhere. Sometimes you don’t need to make a slot invisible if the object is larger and the slot is completely obscured by the surface. But you can make it invisible and visible again through the design tool, if you know exactly where it is. Here just are some examples…
But beware! If you plan to re-paint your walls after decorating with the Slots (OMSP’s), make sure that the moveobjects-cheat is disabled, otherwise EVERYTHING will end up in the family inventory. And even with the cheat off, the same thing happens when you place slots with objects on halfwalls. So do not wonder. It’s not my fault, it’s the game. As can be seen in the last two pictures, everything that is marked in yellow will disappear when papering…

There’s 2 different versions (one in their hand, one on their back), each with 7 designs that come in “normal”, “bloody”, and “really bloody”. These are recolors, so don’t forget to get the meshes. They work great with accessory weapons, but since the shield in hand is a recolor of Cap’s shield it’s in the right hand, so you’ll have to use a left hand weapon. V.1 (back) is found under necklaces, V.2 (hand) is found under right hand bracelet.
