So, Greek Carnaval is fast approaching!

Back home, this year’s Carnaval ended a couple of weeks ago (Brazilians in the back cry and sob in unison). It was, as usual, incredible and crowded and sunny. Sadly I couldn’t attend this year (a few 2892 km separating Athens to Rio will make it a rather difficult weekend trip), but I tried to keep up with the news coverage for it. As far as Parade Carnaval is concerned, there’s a lot of photos and articles out there on it. The Telegraph covered the traditional parade Carnaval in Rio and São Paulo, so check it out to see how the parades went. National newspapers covered street carnaval thoroughly as well, so if that’s what you’re going for, check out Saturday, Sunday and Monday photos!

In addition to that, my super awesome friends sent me photos and videos of the whole thing in the last couple of days, so I’d thought I’d share here a few so you could experience Street Carnaval from the inside!
