hi! my names aster, i’m 25, and here’s my commission sheet if you’re interested in helping me out at all towards paying for private transition services, or if you just want some art! thank you for considering! :) please contact me through ko-fi or on here!
I painted Gaza's beautiful beaches with the hues of Palestine's flag today. None of us are free until we're all free 🍉
Starting yesterday is the global strike for Palestine. I am participating in whichever way I can, and will be prioritising using social media to uplift Palestinian voices and sharing related artwork. I am also donating where I can, avoiding spending money unless absolutely essential (and if I have to, prioritise small businesses and companies in support of Palestine) and rearranged what appointments this week aren't essential. I am also continuing to always educate myself and following other guidance in this strike.
As the confirmed death toll has surpassed 25,000, there is no longer a fully functional hospital in Gaza and all places that have stored information about the population has been destroyed (medical records, birth certificates, land ownerships), be sure to use your voice however you can and show you will not stand for the genocide of Palestine--and all peoples currently under oppression.
Here's the receipts for all the ones purchased and sent for the fundraiser so far! The original post is kind of long now, but here it is for the fundraiser's details:
Please consider donating to the fundraiser and sharing! REMEMBER THE STRIKE STARTS TODAY! The 21st-28th! Talk about Gaza and do whatever you
We're at 10/30 now! Please consider sharing and supporting! That's ten eSims sent to Gaza that hadn't been before! Together we can send even more!
Also! I get asked if a receipt for an eSim that you purchased and sent yourself can be shown to me for the little icon commissions and the answer is yes! Anything to get more eSims to Gaza!
Here's the Gaza eSims site with information on how to make the purchases yourself!
Where can I find Free Palestine protests and Ceasefire protests?
A super international and continually updated list of actions can be found at Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network's:
Calendar of Resistance for Palestine 2024
They list events by date, then alphabetically by country, then by city - and it's common for them to have dozens of actions listed for a single date, especially on the weekends.
The United States especially often has 40+ events on a single day, especially on the weekends.
Events are posted with links to the event info posted by whoever's hosting the vast majority of the time.
Look blow the read-more for a list of many of the countries that have been on this protest calendar, in alphabetical order, since I know so many websites/lists of actions are country-specific
*Obviously this isn't the only good source of listings for protest events - there are many others. This is by far the biggest/most international roundup I've found, though, so I started with this. If you know another good place for finding ceasefire protests/events, please feel free to add it in the notes, bc I'm planning to put a bigger roundup together once I find enough other sites
Countries that Samidoun has listed/does list protests for include (in alphabetical order):
North America:
United States

Puerto Rico (listed separately in anti-colonial solidarity)

hey! the house of representatives has unveiled a 14 billion dollar bill to arm Israel (by cutting the IRS budget, naturally, and making it easier for rich ppl to continue to avoid taxes.) the first hearing on this bill is TODAY, NOVEMBER 1, at 4PM ET. good time to call your reps and tell them a) not to vote for this and b) to urge them to call for (at minimum) a ceasefire.
I have seen less and less posts about Palestine each day, and I want to remind people that there is still very much a genocide going on and Palestine has continued to be attacked.
The number of casualties in Gaza has increased to 8,525 with 21,000+ injured
Hospitals in Gaza will run out of power today
Israel has once again cut Gaza’s communications
Israel has striked another refugee camp, killing 50+ and it was reported that children were carrying other injured children to get to safety
• Bolivia has severed diplomatic ties with Israel, citing the latter's "crimes against humanity".
• The three major trade unions in Belgium—comprising over 3 million members—announced that they will refuse to transport weapons, by plane or sea, going to the zionist entity, citing the zionist genocide in Palestine and calling out the hypocrisy of the Belgian government.
the US dropped more than 7.5 million tons of bombs on vietnam, laos and cambodia from 1965-75. they destroyed our land, used agent orange, slaughtered villages, separated families, the list goes on.
but we're. still. here.
indigenous people are still here. black people are still here. colonized people are resilient. even if you kill our people, ban our languages, destroy our homes, heritage sites and artifacts, we will always find a way to keep our cultures alive and that has always been true
so much of the west and isntreal's tactics and actions are hauntingly familiar to me as a viet person. its a colonizer's rinse and repeat. and so that's how i know palestine will be free. we've seen this film before]
