We have had the time of our lives, now the page is turned the stories we will write. It’s hard to walk away from the best of days, but if it has to end I’m glad you have been my friend in the time of our lives.

#Squad
two days since the Poldark finale and I miss Caroline Penvenen
‘“I can only add that it was my wide acquaintanceship with the landed youth of Oxfordshire that made me all the more instantly aware of the sterling qualities of Dr Enys.”
“Landless and penniless as I was,” said Dwight. “I don’t really believe calculation or deep perception entered into it with either of us, Caroline. We saw each other. And when we’d done that we’d eyes for no one else.”’ — Winston Graham, The Stranger From The Sea
“might I hold her?”
Pure brilliance this season
me: “I love being a writer.”
me, whenever I write:
#yeah it’s cool #just rip my heart out #didn’t really need it anyway
Farewell Poldark, you provided us with four wonderful years of Sunday evening stress, love, tears, heartbreak, joy and a whole load of wishing that Ross Poldark would think before he did literally anything.
Me, ready to watch the finale
Also me, ready to watch the finale
I stumbled across Poldark in early September 2016 during one of the worst and most intimidating periods of my life. To cut a long story short, it became the balm that healed my wounds and the comfort blanket that I climbed under after a hard or stressful day. It is still that show to me and always will be, no matter my qualms about S5 and no matter what happens in the final 59 mins. I will always be thankful for it. And for you guys. ❤️
There aren’t enough words in the English language to convey what this fandom has meant to me. Thank you for your friendships. Thank you for reading the random shit I write and for encouraging me to continue to do so. Thank you for caring about these characters as much as I do and never once making me feel weird about it. Thank you for sharing my gifsets.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you guys for everything. I love you all a whole lot.
Thank you, Poldark.
I'm going to cry so much :') we love you too girl.
Me, ready to watch the finale
Just want to say before Poldark leaves us all forever how much this show and fandom has meant to me over the past few years. Because of Poldark I’ve spoken to some truly incredible people I feel very honoured to count amongst my friends.
Even when I’ve been frustrated with the show itself these friendships have continued to mean the world to me.
This show and the books will always have a very, very special place in my heart.
I’m going to stop now before I start crying.
Us too ❤❤
The Lady Objects
Just a little something that came to me while I was administering placement exams this morning. For @rather-impertinent
[The parlour of the Enys’s fashionable townhouse in London. Dwight opens a sealed letter, pulls his lips thin, and furrows his brow.]
Dwight: It seems Ross has returned to Cornwall. And for what purpose? I can’t even begin to fathom…What the devil is he planning now?
Caroline (coyly): He’s most likely planning to see his wife. They have been known to seek comfort in one another’s arms during times of strife…
Dwight (oblivious): I must see to Kitty Despard. Surely her grief at Ned’s death must be overwhelming.
[Caroline clears her throat, puts down her tea cup, and picks up her pug as she rises from the settee.]
Caroline: Well my dear Horace, what do you think? I agree. Excuse us, Dr. Enys, but this has gone on entirely too long…..
[Breaking the fourth wall, she walks forward, then knocks on the screen.]
Caroline: Excuse me? Hello, is anyone there? Yes, you sir! My husband and I–and our dog–are requiring a new script. The one we’ve been given is simply plagued with faults…
Voice off screen: Sorry, ma’am…you need a what?
Caroline: A new script–with snappier dialogue and more nuanced characterisation? This one has us replaying the same scene over and over. Surely even you must find it quite tedious by now…
Voice: I’m not sure if I can…
Keep reading
HAHHAHAH YES!!!!
me, thinking about how Caroline and Dwight used to have actual scenes and storylines:
Omg guys remember?? When they used to be allowed to show affection on screen
