2. How to make someone else's day
When you figure out how to make your own day, you can easily influence another person's day. Same goes in a negative sense; if you're having a terrible day, chances are the people you interact with are going to feel it and will become affected by your attitude, too. I think people neglect to realize that everyone they come into contact with exist on a plane of energy. Once you make an eye, physical, or communicative transaction with them, you're sharing energy. If it's negative, it will be transmitted to everyone and everything in your proximity, which is hard on the human body to digest. Same goes for if it's positive. Positive energy will be expelled towards all sources- which it MUCH easier for any living thing to receive. Think about how it makes you feel when someone around you is wreaking with negativity- probably doesn't ever elicit a comforting or feel good response, I presume. Then your mood is almost ruined. Now think about how if makes you feel when someone comes up to you and does or says something to make your day. Mood booster! It's also a mood booster to the person sending those awesome vibes your way! It's quite a simple concept, with immediate results. If you want to get out there and make someone else's day now, which should have been what you've been doing this whole time (and if it's not, that's okay too), there are a few things you can do. 1. Rid yourself of negativity. If you're not sure you can do that, refrain from spreading it and throwing it up all over everyone else. This will make it much easier to be around you, no one likes a negative nancy pants. 2. Accept that you do more for yourself, when you do for others, than if you do only for yourself. It feels good to have someone else reach out and touch you, return the favor. 3. Here are some light examples of making someones day: -complimenting someone -doing somebody a favor -going out of your way to make something easier for someone -showing up somewhere with surprise candy, or food (ALWAYS a sure way to a smile on someones face) -give some hugs, high fives, or praise -put yourself in someone else's shoes, then thank them for it -pray for another ... and the list goes on for days; hoping you get the idea. 4. DON'T, I repeat, DO NOT do these things in order to get something good out of it. The good is in the actions themselves, not the karma you receive. You must shift the perspective of doing something good for others to receive good, to doing something for others simply because it makes you feel good. Life is good when you feel good... now just imagine if everyone felt good, how good life would be. -BM
