The act had definitely made him want to please her too and the stirrings of desire were hard to control. "We're both sexual people so it's not easy to not have that with each other." It had been a challenge for the both of them but he was glad they were able to keep it together for her body's sake. Nova was start to sleep more which was good and left them more alone time though usually they were still watching her sleep in awe of their creation. "Sounds like more alone time to me. Daddy can enjoy his good girl again." He told her with a sly wink as he removed his clothes and got into the shower behind her, his hand lightly cupping her ass. "Let me do it." He told her as his fingers slid up her body and into her hair. Small kisses were placed above her breasts to avoid hurting her and he kissed her neck again just to show she hadn't ruined anything. He reached for the shampoo and began to lather her hair then lightly run his hands along it as the water streamed down rinsing the suds off.

She was glad that he was struggling with it as much as she had. She truly felt like the sexual frustration was going to send her crazy. She tilted her head back, using her fingers to help rinse the suds out of her blonde locks.

His brows furrowed with concern as he looked into Nova's mouth. "It's okay, mama and dada aren't going to hurt you. We're just looking at something, Novie." Max had tried to sound calming to his daughter but he was concerned. "No, I didn't noticed them last night. I just thought she didn't want to eat and blamed it on the heat." Though their home wasn't hot, it was kept cool and that couldn't have been it. He should have noticed it and he was internally beating himself p over it which mean so was Sabrina because she always blamed herself first. Max thought she put too much pressure on herself but she had always been that way. He had asked Sarah and Shannon about it but was told that was just how she was even as a kid. No one was Sabrina's biggest critic then Sabrina herself. "I'm not sure but maybe." He didn't know how all that worked but it made sense if it was an infection. "Breastfeeding involves close skin-to-skin contact, so the infection could pass back and forth between her mouth and your nipples. You two could continuously reinfect each other." He knew that wasn't anything she wanted to hear but it made sense in his head. "Do you breasts feel different other then the usual tenderness?" He couldn't remember her complaining but maybe she had and his head didn't register it. He went to get the car and pulled up at the entrance and got the door for her so she could get Nova situated in the back and once she was secure and Sabrina at her side, he shut the door and got in and drove them to the doctor's office.

The whole drive he tried to tell himself that this wasn't anything serious, that they hadn't caught whatever it was too late, all things he needed to tell himself to not stress out. Inside the examination room, Max watched as the nurse took Nova's vitals and his eyes kept finding Sabrina's. He watched her with little No-No and his fingers lightly stroked His daughter's head. It was such a helpless feeling to be unable to make her feel better. "You're going to be okay, sweetie. Mama and dada will make sure you get whatever you need to well." Max gave a simple nod as the doctor walked in and let Sabrina explain what she saw and how Nova hadn't been eating. "Just thrush, that didn't sound that bad in Max's head, the word just made it sound almost 'normal'. As soon as he heard the word infection, he remembered an earlier concern. "Is it possible that Sabrina could catch it and them pass the infection back and forth between them? If so, should she be on medication too just to make sure she doesn't catch it?" Max was prepared to play doctor to his two girls if he needed to. "Can Novie catch it again or the medicine will prevent that?"

“Maybe they just formed then?” She wasn’t sure how this work. If they just didn’t notice them, or if they slowly became visible. “I thought it was just the heat, or she was just being stubborn.  I was about to tell you to just go get formula and we’d give that a try.” She put herself on a pedestal with breastfeed, she wanted to nurse her daughter, and she wasn’t sure if she could walk into the store and buy formula without crying or feeling she wasn’t producing enough to feed Nova. She listened as he talked about how he thought something could go back and forth from her and Nova. And she hated the gut feeling that overcame her that she could have gotten Nova sick somehow. “I noticed they were like cracked and looked more red than usual. I guess the tenderness is more than usual now that I’m thinking about it. But I didn’t think anything of it.” And maybe she should have. She lifted Nova enough to press a kiss against her head before they headed out of the door.

Sabrina shushed Nova as she started crying, she grabbed her paci and placed it into her mouth and then she rocked her, patting her butt as she did. She knew she wouldn’t go to sleep but maybe she would at least settle down. “Yes, I was going to talk about that as Sabrina is breastfeeding. But the infection can continue to get passed between mom and baby. I’ll also prescribe Sabrina an antifungal for her breast. It takes 14 days for the infection to clear from the both of you, and then just keep using it for a couple extra days to make sure it doesn’t come back.” She told Sabrina as she went onto the computer to send the prescriptions to the pharmacies. “This is a yeast infection, so yes. They are completely normal and Nova might get it again, just like Sabrina or even you can.” She told Max.  “Can I breastfeed while I have the cream on, or should I give her frozen milk?” Sabrina asked, and now she had a million questions. “You can breastfeed and pump like normal. But make sure you wipe off the cream before her mouth gets in contact with your nipple. And you should also sanitize all pump, bottles and probably her pacifiers in boiling hot water.  Just submerge them in the boiling water for about five minutes to kill off the bacteria. Do that each time you feed her with a bottle or pump until you’re both clear of this.”

chrisevans: such a good mom. i always knew you would be. did they give her something for the pain? not sure she's old enough for that but i feel so bad for her.

sabrinafriedman: i try to be. i just felt bad because i didn't take her as soon as she started to seem off. She's on meds to help with what she has. but she's still in pain since she's still a tad too young for pain relief.
