My Favourite Chords - The Weakerthans (illustrated)
be soft.
A Wanda Koop-inspired, Bird’s Hill Park reminiscent acrylic painting I banged out yesterday.
Tonight, on the recommendation of a dear friend, I saw the Dieter Rams documentary, “Rams.” A resounding theme in the words of Rams himself, “less, but better,” inspired a conversation wherein this same friend challenged me to edit my own work. The philosophy of minimizing work is simple yet difficult especially pitted against ego. I had some complicated plans for this piece, but I sat down for 20 minutes and finished what I already had. And it’s true, that this is probably better than if I’d have done more.

I had a solo exhibit at Warehouse Artworks in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 2nd that consisted exclusively of watercolour paintings of food. If you’re in Winnipeg, there are a few originals still left at Warehouse. If you see some you want which have been sold, Warehouse can order prints for you.
As always, commissions are available by request. E-mail [email protected] to inquire.

"Grapefruit" is one of 24 watercolour paintings from Palate which is ON TONIGHT from 6-10 @warehouseartworks for @firstfridayswinnipeg 🍾 come through if food is something you're into.
It's that time again where I shamelessly self plug my art and this time the art doubles as food. 24 original works of food art by yours truly will be on display from May 20-31 at @warehouseartworks ! Your girlfriend probably loves food and her birthday is coming up. PM me to receive a postcard with show deets. 🍕🥐🌶🍦🍅🥑🍩🥓🍗
