Toronto Film Festival was a blast this year! Saw old friends and made new friends while sitting on the couch from Friends. My parents came to star gaze and didn’t recognize anyone except JLo. I’m gonna fix this ol’ girl up and take her on an adventure this fall. She’s a ‘65 Chevy C10 we call Blue. She needs some TLC, for sure. Her seats are torn. Her paint is faded. The radio doesn’t work but the speakers do. Yesterday her timing was off. Today she’s spitting coolant. I’m by no means a fucking mechanic, but I’ve always wanted to get my hands dirty. I am a #homebody. . . I have traveled the world. I have partied with amazing people. I have tasted life to the fullest. BUT right now I’m finding comfort and creativity in being ALONE in my home. I look at my empty walls and I get INSPIRED to paint. The guitars in the corner TRIGGER my inner rock star. The veggies in my garden SPARK the recipes boiling inside me. I even find MOMENTS OF ZEN with my vacuum cleaner and a magic eraser. I am finding joy in being inside my own head. Surprising myself with what comes out. I feel less anxious these days.
