Anne, it's Robert. Sorry about being so random, but I heard about the theater shooting, and I don't have a tumblr anymore. Just checking to make sure all the lights are still shining, so to speak, and that you're okay. I'm definitely not ready for a light like yours to fade out. -Robert

I haven’t been on tumblr for a very long and only just saw this message today. Thank you, thank you my friend for taking the time to check in. My loved ones and I are all safe, though not everyone was so fortunate. Please pray for those who did lose someone as we continue to heal as a community.

Dress-code terms such as "semi-formal," "black tie optional," and "dressy casual" are the worst guidelines ever. Especially the last one. How can you merge two contradictory words into one term and then expect people to know what you're talking about? Shall I wear a tie with my overalls, or?...

I could tell you the most amazing stories about all of the people that I love, but they would only ever be stories to you. How is it that we ever take for granted the privilege knowing others intimately?

Rediscovered a pair of goggles used for an Amelia Earhart costume one year! They reminded me of something out of Cowboy Bebop so I took a picture trying to be cool. In fact, I am not. But c'mon, who wouldn't want to bounty hunt in space? "See you space cowboy..."

I think it's rather beautiful how angry we can be with someone, yet still love so relentlessly. It takes so much courage to fight for the things that matter and for the things that could hurt us the most.

You should be told far more often how brave you really are! 

Despite all of our doubts, we aren't such fragile things, after all.
