“Yeah...I don’t really pay attention to runes. I don’t need ‘em so...didn’t see a point in it.”

“True. Hands down, though, it’s a hell of a lot easier to remember than all the angels and runes, though.”
“Yeah...I don’t really pay attention to runes. I don’t need ‘em so...didn’t see a point in it.”
pierced-holden:
“Want to? No,” He admitted. “But I’ll admit that’s a problem within itself. What about you? Dallon’s been acting weird so something’s happening between you two, right?”
“Alright, alright. Well you know I’m here if you ever do want to talk.” Carsyn shook her head, letting out a huff of air. “There’s nothing happening between the two of us. There’s no...us anymore.”
damianjacewaywright:
“Hunter’s Moon or do you want go somewhere less known?”
“That’s fine...I only know a bunch of mundane bars.”
mason-lungs:
He touched his face, feeling the little flakes of dried paint lift under his fingertips with a sting. “Uh, yeah, thank you,” He said, rubbing the rest of it off even though it burned from irritation.
He hadn’t noticed his wavering glances at her until his gaze lingered too long and he really got a look at her. She looked stressed, more than just her own thoughts sending her into exhaustion. Against his better judgement, Mason took a step forward and pulled her into his chest.
“Yeah, how did that even--uh, never mind.” As his arms wrapped around her, Carsyn’s composure shattered. She could feel herself crying, even if she didn’t want to. “I’m glad you’re back. I know I’ve been bitchy and I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
princeton-law:
“I hope that wasn’t meant to be a jab at me,” He said, pretending to drop Blair again as she giggled.
“Not entirely. I mean, I’m weird too. Her mother is weird. She’s doomed.”
lovelace-matt:
“You definitely are a ray of sunshine” said Matt sarcastically and with a smile. “I’m just informing you Carsyn, you know, in case I don’t make it back”
“Yeah I get that all the damn time,” she rolled her eyes. “Okay. I’m sure somebody will put you in the City of Bones or whatever it is they do with you guys.”
ellabranwell:
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out, apparently mundanes teenagers love it, so I’m looking what it have that make them like it that much”
“Probably the same shit they see in other movies. A love story where things actually fucking work.”
dancin-like-a-wolf:
“Yeah, I’m getting there.” He said as he sipped on his coke.
“Aren’t we all.”
pierced-holden:
Holden dropped his head, accepting that he was nearly ready to take his fight with Elise out on Carsyn. “Sorry, it’s just the last week has been pretty shitty with… It’s been shitty,” He trailed off.
He never had a problem admitting his weaknesses before because he always strived to better them, if not understand them enough to cope with them. But his transition from shadowhunter to wolf came with so many changes he didn’t expect and he wondered if he would ever get over his trouble. Locked into the pack at the Omega, though none of them actually breathed the word, made it really hard for him to feel like he could overcome it and since he was practically living in his limbic system lately because of the amount of times he had turned unwillingly, accepting it was a lot harder. He had tried more than once to tell himself it wasn’t personal, wasn’t anything he could help or some cruel joke, but it never worked.
“I thought I had a hold on it, the shifting, but it’s only gotten harder,” He finally admitted. “I didn’t mean to take it out on you. I’ve just been getting a little stuck in my head too long. I say the wrong thing. I feel like a fucking teenager again.”
Carsyn nodded. “Yeah. For me, too. Maybe there’s something in the air.” She looked over at her friend. She understood his struggles. It’d been that way for her in the beginning too. The emotions had been overwhelming until she’d gotten a hold of them. There were times now, she still felt herself slipping away.
“Well...usually that happens when our human emotions are out of control. Do you want to talk about anything?”
damianjacewaywright:
“I could go for a drink as well.. if you want company.”
“Um...company would be great actually.” She wouldn’t have asked for it, but the brunette really didn’t want to be alone.
princeton-law:
Carsyn had startled him and he gave a little jump that was a slight mimic to the game he had been playing with Blair. The little girl gave another shrill of excitement, grabbing on to his necklace.
He pulled it from her grasp gently, dropping back into his shirt. “Imagine how painful for me to have actually done it,” He said, sighing and rubbing at his eye with his free hand like a sleepy child. “Hours of trying to comfort her, give her toys, walk around, and all she wanted was to pretend to be dropped. Babies are fu-… weird.”
“They are weird.” Carsyn shrugged. “And. They grow up to be weirdos too.”
art-of-copeing:
“I was trying to take some classes at the community college this summer, be a little different, but it’s honestly hell. None of it makes sense once you get past the Olympians. It’s basically everyone having sex with their brother or their in-laws.”
“I mean...is it supposed to make sense in the modern day? They were just using it to explain weird shit to begin with.”
mason-lungs:
“No. I’ve been meeting with the Clave since the moment I stepped on Academy grounds with being, you know, a delinquent and traitor and all,” He said, brushing off some of their insults. He didn’t mention exactly how he had arrived, though, deliberately straying from the arrow that had cut into his chest and the attack at the cemetery. “They finally let me out today and put me on a curfew, but screw them, honestly.”
The last part was only partially true because while Mason wanted to defy the Clave again, he remained within his curfew and was intent on being in his dorm before it ended.
“You look good,” He told her.
“Oh. I just figured...you know...he asked about you a lot so I figured he’d have broken down your door by now.” She’d kept herself from doing it because she was sure that Dallon would be there and then again because she knew she couldn’t hide her emotions well from Mason.
“Oh, uh...thanks.” Carsyn was pretty sure he was lying. There had to be circles under her eyes. “You, too...You have uh...something on your face.”
dallon-ofthe-shadows:
“Uh, in the kitchen think? I assume at least seeing as it’s got her bottles and stuff in it too.”
“Alright." She bounced the baby on her hip. “C’mon Blair, you can tell me all about your day with Uncle Dallon.” Out of habit, she flashed the man a smile on her way into the kitchen. After a few minutes, she was back with a freshly changed baby.
mason-lungs:
“Carsyn,” He said, greeting her the same way he’d greet a new sparring partner instead of his best friend. The lack of feeling in his tone made him sick. “A real’ working girl now, are we?”
He tried to make up for it by saying more, but he could still taste the awkwardness in between them. He could do tension, he really could, and he swore he would have been able to come up with more had there been tension but it was just discomfort. He had wondered if she told Dallon, specifically because the moment he stepped into the Academy infirmary he had practically sounded every alarm and was interrogated for days. He had just gotten his freedom back and even then hadn’t yet seen Dallon. But from her presence, he could tell she was burdened by the sight of him and knew it was his secret he made her keep that was weighing on her.
“
“Gotta make a living somehow. I don’t want to stay trapped here forever.” There had been a time she had wanted to stay forever. Now, she’d lost the man she loved and her relationship with her best friend was strained. If she wasn’t at the Academy, she wouldn’t have to see them as often. She’d still get to see Elise and Blair and maybe, just maybe, her heart would get the chance to heal. Every part of her wanted to throw her arms around Mason. Carsyn was doing her best to hold herself together. “Um...have you seen Dallon?” She’d kept Mason’s mission a secret because she knew it was the right thing to do...only now she found herself questioning everything.
And if you loved me you would have stayed but here we are
“Would you have stuck around if I didn’t trust you? I shouldn’t have had to beg you to trust me. Especially since I’d never given you reason to doubt my intentions before.”
My dad always says that love is when all your happiness and all your sadness and all your feelings are dependent upon another person... So I guess I love you
“If you loved me, you would have trusted me when I told you to. If you loved me you would have come after me when I stormed off.” Please come back.
