i just had the weirdest moment, i was feeling my front teeth with my tongue because they’re the tiniest bit crooked, and then i had the thought “i’ll check if they’re also crooked in my other mouth” and then i realized to my shock and confusion that i have only one mouth, leading me to believe that in a past life i was a terrible monster with two mouths

I then spend a few wide-eyed moments having an identity/existential crisis like how many times have I been on this earth to have such an instinctive response to being bone-weary to my soul? No one can really answer, especially not me.

In July 2017, one night I woke up around 2 a.m and blurted out in a quasi professorial voice “the Equinox Bird has infinite beaks, all in the wrong direction, and infinite eyes” and I don’t know what the fuck I was dreaming about but it still haunts me. in order to unlearn racism u have to be willing to accept that u are racist. it’s not a bad thing to want to change for the better. it’s not a bad thing to say hey, the way i’ve been acting is racist and i don’t want to be racist anymore. when people of color are telling u ways in which u have been racist, it’s actually not cool to brush it off and say, well i didn’t mean it that way.. u actually have to make an effort to stop doing those things if u want to be able to actually say ur anti-racist. u can’t just say ur not racist because u don’t wanna be seen as racist. that’s not how unlearning racism works.

It's really weird how often I'll see people bend themselves into a pretzel going after Obama and democrats to the point they just lie to defend Trump.

I don't think they do it on purpose, it's just the danger of remembering Obama as The Drone Strike Guy and Trump's foreign policy being largely invisible from the news media outside of shit like assassinating Qassem Soleimani. But this?

One problem with this is that we can't prove it. Trump revoked Obama's executive order requiring the US intelligence to report civilian casualties.

Another major problem is that Trump also loosened the rules of engagement around airstrikes, i.e. the rules designed to prevent civilian casualties.

And finally, probably the biggest problem with all of this, is that in his first term, Trump carried out more drone strikes than Obama did in two. Trump campaigned promising "I'll bomb the hell out of 'em!" and then proceeded to do just that once in office.

Obama's legacy as the Drone Murder Guy is bad enough, you don't have to go out and whitewash Trump as some kind of dove. He's a Drone Murder Guy too.
