Yes! @amc read this article and make some major changes for S3 and on... Caryl fans are tired of waiting. Many Caryl fans aren't sticking around to be let down and gaslighted anymore. #FireDavidZabel @AMC_TV

Caryl fans, watch this podcast and follow @9lives2mics! You won't regret it 😊🥰
I don’t think we should give in to Zabel’s attitude that Carol and Daryl are platonic friends. I think we should start a concerted campaign on all social media platforms to get AMC to replace Zabel. I’m told that the fans’ uproar over Carol being fired at the end of TWD brought Carol back to the spinoff. We were pissed and let it show. We were successful in getting Carol back into the spinoff. We have power. Let’s NOT just give in to Zabel’s vision of how things should be—let’s get AMC to replace him with a different and better showrunner. We need to let AMC know that 1. We want Daryl and Carol to be romantically canon with no ambiguity. 2. No more shipbaiting of Daryl with every woman who gets near him. 3. We want the old Daryl back. The one we know from the flagship series and not this new guy who falls in love with someone after a couple of months and treats Carol as a 3rd wheel after she crossed the ocean during the zombie apocalypse to be with him because she knew something was wrong. 4. We want a new title to the show. No other TWD spinoff has a character’s name as the title and we want a title that doesn’t exclude Carol’s importance to the show and 5. We want Melissa to have equal billing with Norman. We need to let AMC know we are tired of being strung along and that we are not going to watch for the little crumbs they give us. That we want canon Caryl and we will not watch without it. Look, this spinoff is not doing well. The ratings are far below TOWL and you know why TOWL got higher ratings—because they gave the fans the show they wanted to see. Zabel and Nicotera boast that they don’t write the show for the fans—how arrogant and stupid can they be. If AMC doesn’t get a new showrunner, season 3 will be the last season. The Carylers are TWD’s largest and most devoted fan base and they have to know they are going to lose us if they don’t give us what we want. They brought Carol back because the show floundered with just Daryl. That character couldn’t carry the show alone. We need to make our voices heard and let AMC know our demands—that we get Caryl unambiguously loving and romantic and they need to get a new showrunner because Zabel is imposing his personal desires onto the show rather than what the fans want. We need to make our voice heard now while there’s still time to rework season 3. Are you ready? Go on ever platform and let AMC know what we want and expect.
@amc Every word of this post says how we feel! Fans want #caryl and we want #FireDavidZabel. Give us Caryl canon like you've been teasing at all these years or fans will be leaving in droves.

Loved all the callbacks to romantic beats between Daryl and Carol. Since, you know, many of them exist.
It's amazing how much you can learn about Daryl and Carol's relationship if you actually watch the flagship show.
I still have about 5 or 10 mins left to listen to 💖 but I actually love this so much bc it reminds me why I came online into this fandom in the first place. It can get murky here when it feels like there are so many different voices making us feel unwelcome, whether that's showrunners or official social media accounts or other fans, but every single one of @9lives2mics episodes reminds me there are a lot of us who share the same or similar ways of connecting with media. This episode is really soul replenishing ❤️🩹
Caryl fans, WATCH THIS! It's soooo good!!! Bravo @9lives2mics ❤️
They edited the conversation between Daryl and Carol to sell Caryl on their social media accounts. With all the loud fans in the comments, do you think amc would consider to put their foot down and make Zabel change S3 to a more Caryl vibe version? We know how much cutting and music can change a scene. Is it a possibility they control the end product? And what about interviews? The horsemen all said things that pissed off fans during promotion. Can they force them to not speak their mind?
The studio always has final say, so in theory, yes, AMC can put their foot down for S3 and the noise is a good way to show them why they should (no matter how much certain EPs whine about it 🤨). Ultimately there’s only so much that will get fixed when Zabel just doesn’t have the competence though 😮💨
The comments on this video annoy me to no end.... brother and sister coded, she's like his mom, I never saw them as romantic, blah, blah, blah. What's interesting is alot of posts from amcthewalkingdead and other twd accounts seem to have ALOT of anti Caryl comments. Makes me wonder if AMC is somehow behind this. Hmm I can't imagine a mother asking her son, "Wanna fool around?" Or a brother hugging his sister like he never ever wants to let her go or a son giving his mom lingering, loving looks, or a sister ignoring her husband because she's so obsessed with her brother... No way they aren't romantically coded. Wake up people! Caryl is in ❤️
Norman Reedus loves Melissa McBride and Daryl/Carol so so much
Sometimes I think about how much Norman Reedus loves Melissa McBride. Y’all, he freaking LOVES her. Like more than most people love ANYONE, Reedus loves McBride. He *loves* her acting. He thinks she’s the greatest actress alive and certainly the greatest he will ever have the luck to work with. He looks forward to every single second of dialogue and screen time he has with her and it SHOWS, he is eager to bring his A+ game with her, he brings all his energy to bear on every single one of their scenes, whether Daryl and Carol are speaking their private language or having a silent, meaningful moment or at odds.
Reedus also loves Daryl/Carol. He ships them hard. A long time ago I was in a fandom where my ship was not canon (and never going to be), and I sketched out a fanfic in my head where the two characters of my ship were the only two who escaped the building where all of the characters lived and worked when it was destroyed by the villains. I think I even wrote one story along those lines, the “only two survivors” kind of trope. And you know what? NORMAN REEDUS WROTE THAT SAME FANFIC IN HIS HEAD FOR DARYL/CAROL AND PITCHED IT AS A TV SHOW TO THE WALKING DEAD SHOWRUNNER AND ANGELA KANG GOT IT GREENLIT AS AN ACTUAL SERIES AND THEN AMC CANCELLED THE MAIN WALKING DEAD SHOW. *That’s* how much Reedus loves McBride. He says he didn’t mean for TWD to be cancelled, he just wanted his fanfic show. In a few years’ time, we’ll all be living in Norman Reedus’s fanfic show and there won’t even be a TWD anymore. I don’t think the rest of the characters will go up in flames or anything, I think Daryl/Carol will leave “the group” in a good place, but it’s the same trope as my fanfic. Daryl/Carol will be the only two characters left, the only ones we see. The power of Reedus’s love for working with McBride and for Daryl/Carol to be together is so powerful and strong he made his fanfic become canon for an entire new series. And we, the fans, are grateful!!!!!
This appeared on my timeline today? How old is this? What timeline am I living in? Can we have the above please.. please
Is there truth to this?? Hope so!
Season 5: Maybe when they get to Alexandria, safe behind walls, they'll finally deal with their feelings. Season 6: Maybe once Carol deals with the emotional impact of her traumas after the encounter with the Wolves, we'll see her open up to Daryl, because that has to happen, right? She's carried so much around on her shoulders for so long. Season 7: When Daryl finally finds her at the cabin, they'll finally admit their feelings, because the separation is killing them both, and it's time they let each other know, because hey, life is short. Season 8: Once the Saviors are taken care of, THEN, they can rest and finally admit their feelings, because they've both almost died like a hundred times, and it's time. Season 9: Ok, Carol is clearly settling with Ezekiel, but she's in love with Daryl. They've been spending more time together, and it's obvious the feelings are there. So something's going to happen, right? Something is going to happen, and Carol's going to leave Ezekiel because Daryl is her true love. Later in Season 9: No...not...not like THAT. Season 10: Carol is home. They are flirting. Yes the Whisperers are still a threat, but once Alpha is gone and Carol gets a chance to heal, she and Daryl can finally find happiness together. Season 10C: No. No. NOOOOO. FUCKING HELL. Season 11: *downs a whole bottle of wine* Motherfuckers, just fucking fuck already.

"Daryl and Carol still have so many people who love them so deeply that we're all fighting for them in our own way."
@amc Watch these podcasts! Nine Lives Two Mics speak explicitly about what fans want and what will ultimately keep them tuning in. Also #FireDavidZabel and get a showrunner who has a clue!
Even if Caryl never goes “tongue-wrestling, horizontal-tangoing, admitting their love by speaking the words ‘I love you’” canon, this is canon:
when Daryl Dixon, angry redneck and self-appointed pariah, gave Carol Peletier a Cherokee rose as a symbol of human kindness and hope. And this is canon:

We Have a Future?
I bring this over to you from Twitter as well as a long thread I made about a potential future for Caryl.
I’m taking the rumors of their spinoff as *rumors* for now, but it feels like a good time to talk about what I’d love to see if it’s true and more importantly, what I would subscribe to AMC+ plus for:
1. An Explicit Caryl Romance
The “will they, won’t they” trope is supposed to be resolved by the series finale and we are now past that. We can take the “I love you’s” as canon or not, but it comes across as intentionally straddling the fence and for what? Caryl is one of the biggest ships on television. They have the support of the general audience, casual viewers, the writers, cast, and crew, so there’s no need to keep pandering to the least common denominators. Caryl’s relationship also aids representation, reminding viewers that people over 50 can fall in love, that a female love interest can have gray hair, and that a male love interest can display lower levels of sexual behavior. But that’s only effective if AMC shows they’re willing to commit. After 12 years, it’s time to go big or go home.
2. Open Conversation about Caryl’s Romance
There’s a reason the Caryl fandom thinks so highly of LaToya Morgan. She validates our perspective, she’s openly passionate about the ship, and she gets us hyped. Imagine how many fans would come running if more people associated with the show were allowed to do the same instead of having to toe the company line in the media, which only furthers the problematic viewpoint that Caryl couldn’t possibly be more than friends.
3. A Daryl AND Carol Show
Anything more than a cameo in the upcoming six episodes may be “logistically untenable,” but if Carol really is going to appear in the end, it should amount to something big like a reunion that tops No Sanctuary and it should set up the alleged next season for Norman AND Melissa to co-lead.
4. Equal Screentime
One of S11’s worst crimes was minimizing Carol’s arc. She’s one of TWD’s strongest characters and she shouldn’t have to live in the shadows of every other character’s story or remain on kitchen duty. She can be a weapon of mass destruction, sure, but I want to see emotional growth for her too and not just retroactively.
5. Shared Screentime
They may not be each other’s appendages, but Caryl do have insane amounts of chemistry that fans tune in for, so it should go without saying they need to share scenes together and more specifically, they need to share an arc that allows them to grow together as a couple.
6. Meaningful Interactions
Caryl’s relationship is so deep, they often don’t need words, but in no way should that limit their interactions to lingering stares. I want them to engage in conversation with each other, and I want those conversations to deepen their relationship even more.
7. No. More. Shipbaiting.
It’s tiresome, it insults the characters, actors, and the audience, and it’s not worth paying money for. If I’m going to be pulled in, it’ll be by something I love, not something I don’t.
8. Strong Leadership
Representation offscreen matters too and if Caryl’s story is going to continue, then they need a showrunner who knows how to write character-driven narratives and specifically understands Daryl’s and Carol’s characters/relationship. An upper class white man who’s too focused on his own lore would not be the right fit .
9. Story Integrity
Norman, Melissa, and the writers spent years developing a beautiful narrative for Caryl, and I don’t want to see any of it retconned in service of the lore.
10. Payoff
To be clear, I don’t think this was “the writers’” fault at all, but S11 and the spinoff debacle have left so many holes in Caryl’s story that many fans have come to expect disappointment at every turn and nobody wants to pay to be let down. If AMC delivers on the promises they set up on or offscreen, I will be there, but not a second sooner.
Thank you again to everyone participating in the blitz! :)
We are tired of waiting @amc and also #FireDavidZabel

I would've loved to be a fly on the wall when Norman and Melissa talked about their spin off. Decided on the Playlist, setting, storyline etc.
Now we know about their vision since TBOC aired. Must've been like, "Melissa, just imagine, we will name it after my character and I will start the first season without you. Maybe you will have a cameo or something but I will definitely namedrop Carol at some point. And then, you will have your own season but with me of course and my new family and new love interest. Carol will realise how much she loves Daryl because, common on, who doesn't love the hero. And she will be his sidekick from then on but he's too cool to acknowledge her. And we might cut your scenes because common, who doesn't want to see Daryl kick ass." 🙄
"Imagine how awesome Melissa, I'm gonna choose a showrunner and Greg, always with Greg and then you can decide what is important for Carol. But only regarding her character because it's the Daryl show and I have a vision but it's still our spin off, I mean, we're talking about it for years now. But let the "big guys" decide what's good because we know what's for the best. Oh and of course I'm getting top billing because the show is called after me after all."
You can't always get what you want.
It's obviously Melissa's song because I doubt that's what she has envisioned for so long. And no amount of gaslighting will change the hard facts. They've talked about it for years and only one of them is getting what HE wants. Shame on him and all the men supporting misogyny and backstabbing.
I think it’s pretty obvious the original vision for the spinoff is not what the spinoff turned out to be. It was supposed to be a Caryl show first of all. That’s what I was excited about. It’s just a Daryl show now, even though Melissa is there, and a deeply problematic one. I can’t support it 🤷🏻♀️
