This week I visited family for Independence Day. However, they live in the middle of nowhere.
Sketchy sketch pages🤠. Been LOVING doing this kinda stuff in my journal recently - more artsy pages coming soon!!
As much as I love this background outside, it’s so awkward to take pics in the garden?? The lighting changes and I feel strange going outside to take pics of my journal lol. But it’s such a shame because it’s gorgeous and flowers are my jam

Absolutely in love with my May theme. Having a reeeeal tough ass time at the moment and drawing and colouring little pictures has been (almost) relaxing and definitely a good outlet.
This month I was inspired to be more bold and creative, and to invest more time and effort into having fun with my spreads. I used to think I would enjoy it less if I spent too much time on designing things or tried too hard, because I do get frustrated if things don’t turn out how I pictured. But I really enjoyed designing this and colouring it in and I think it looks very effective.
I found that spending more time on the design of my spreads can be a really good way to explore my creativity and experiment with colours and shapes in a useful way without getting frustrated that my drawing isn’t good enough or that it doesn’t look like someone else’s. I feel like with a bullet journal it’s not final: there’s always next week. And it doesn’t have to look like someone else’s; it only has to look like mine.

I got a 50 pack of crayola supertips! So exciting. I love stationary and these pens are soo good. I love having such a wide range of colours.
25.05.2019 ~ blue obsession
I love this layout of the month, this blue is by far my favourite colour. Having taken the time to do a spread I love is definitely motivating me to be more organized (even though the month is almost over now, but bater late than never ;) )
I hope that you’re all well and that you enjoy what you’re doing ^^

Another May spread ready! I can’t wait to finally move out of this place somewhere better to a nice quiet village with gorgeous fields. I think that’s what inspired this months spread, looking forward to moving out of the city again somewhere greener.
The Saturday and Sunday before this spread got their own pages, as did Monday and Tuesday to make room for the long ass list of moving responsibilities! I do love a good list tho. ..

Hey, I just found your blog and I love the way your bullet journal is set up and was was wondering if you could go into detail about how you use it (if you haven't already)? It seems like it's really functional and easy to keep organized
hi lovebug, thanks for stopping by! i can definitely go into more detail about my current bujo setup, but it’s actually really simple haha
so this is what a usual weekly spread looks like for me. i title the left page with the month and dates of the week included in the spread, and right now i’m titling the left with the current week of spring quarter at my uni (we have 10 weeks per quarter, 3 quarters per year + optional summer classes)
my days are sectioned into two columns. the left is for keeping track of meetings (marked by a star), events, due dates, and any social events i plan on attending. the right is exclusively for school assignments/readings. i can realistically complete around 4-5 assignments or readings in a day, so i give myself limited space which forces me to plan my week more carefully and work on my time management/procrastination!
my habit trackers are the little circles on the right page! right now i’m really focused on getting back into a fitness routine and consistently completing those little domestic tasks in the second section every day to keep my room and my life a little tidier :’) and then i’m trying to be more active on my study-related social media, so i also track the days i post!
and lastly i have that “next” section just as a quick preview of the major events/due dates coming up the next week so i don’t forget anything i might to need to prep for over the weekend before i fill out my new spread the next monday :)
if i feel inspired, i’ll fill in some of that blank space with a little collage of doodles, stickers, and washi tape at the end of the week. otherwise, my bujo is my practical space and my art journal is where i flex my creative muscles. i hope that was helpful!
materials used in this spread:
- moleskine cahier journal, black, dotted paper
- yellow crayola supertip marker
- papermate flair marker pen, black
