I told myself I was not going to write any shit about āYouā Netflix series because Iām not a writer and I donāt think my opinion on things are that important at all, BUT while I was scrolling through internet and reading peopleās comments on it I couldnāt be quiet.
The thing is doesnāt matter how much horrible, without personality and shallow everyone in the show is, Joe hasnāt any right to do any of the things he did. Thatās the fucking point, heās not cute, heās a fucking psycho.
Although I probably wouldnāt be friends with Beck or Beckās friends, or anyone, apart from Ethan, maybe; what Iām saying is: you can not make those people seem so horrible to the point that what Joe did is justified. Like Peach was a fucking stalker, itās discusting but she didnāt deserved to die. Although I donāt really give much shit about her death, but thats not the point. Same with Benji, he was a dick but death? Theyāre horrible, but didnāt deserved their fate.
Now with Beck, she was a cheater and with a lock of flaws in her personality, but she has a horrible childhood and didnāt turn out to be a fucking serial killer. She didnāt deserve any of the things Joe did in the name of āloveā and sheās the victim here. Trying blame her for what happened or saying she deserve it just because she was shallow is fucking pathetic, she is the fucking victim. A guy she barely knew violated her privacy, her life, killed her friends, steal her underwear, her phone, her diary⦠and some people have the guts to think she deserve it for some reason. Itās fucked because if you think about our reality itās fucking similar, blaming a woman for everything a sick man do to her. Joe had a bad past and etc. and he didnāt deserve it, because nobody deserves it, but it doesnāt give the right for him to do any of those things with anyone.
Its gets to my fucking nerves because you see this shit in real life, you see men being abusive towards women and abuse the fuck out of them and no one believes sheās the victim, because somehow itās always her fucking fault. Itās exhausting because a guy could be anything and do whatever the fuck he wants and no one cares, but a woman has to be perfect because if she isnāt then sheās the villain.
In conclusion, go see a fucking therapist if you think by any chance Joe Goldberg is cute or right.
