the "i was such good friends with a hospitalized 13 year old girl" is also extremely suspicious on its face and i say this as someone who is pro intergenerational friendships. i mean that specific situation was weird and the fact the girl is dead is convenient because she will never be able to examine that relationship with the perspective of an adult and tell us what was really going on. John Green is suspicious and his behavior is alarming on multiple fronts. i don't care if he was a youth pastor, that just makes it worse. he's creepy. he makes a lot of us with experiences of those kinds suspicious, which is a red flag on its own
