Are Coupons Dead?
Using coupons when you shop is a great way to save money and stay within your grocery budget. It may take a bit of time getting started and cutting out coupons, but in the end, you will be glad that you spent that time instead of spending more money. To get started, you will want to find somewhere to keep the coupons that you have clipped. Try to find a way to organize them that will work for you. Some ideas include a shoebox or a binder with baseball card holders. You then want to work out some sort of filing system, either by expiration date, food category, or any other way you see fit. Make sure you keep an eye on when your coupons expire so that you can either use them or get rid of them. You also may want to decide whether you want to cut out all of the coupons, just the coupons you will use, or on an as needed basis. Do whatever will work best for you. Whenever you go to the store, it is a good idea to take your coupons with you. You never know when you could save money.
Are coupons dead? No. There will probably always be people who will turn to paper coupons when they are strapped for money and cannot afford smartphones with apps. Couponing can be a great way to save money if you keep your stash organized and ready to save money when you see a deal. For more financial advice, continue reading on XLFinancialBlog.com.
