Wine of the Week: 2009 Cru 'Vineyard Montage' Monterey County Chardonnay

One hundred percent barrel fermented and aged for 9 months in French Oak barrels (30% new). Brilliant color, almost like looking at gold shinning in the sun. A hint of pineapple, peach, and a creamy vanilla spice on the nose. Juicy ripened peach, melon, and a suggestion of flint and minerality accent the finish.

Join is tonight in supporting the Sioux Falls Feisty Fighters with fighting breast cancer!  We will be providing a wine tasting from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Landscape Garden Center.

We will be tasting through over 40 wines. Proceeds will be going to support the Feisty Fighters and breast cancer awareness.

Perfect Pair: Wine and Turkey?

Turkey day is quickly approaching! This week we will be featuring several wines that are a perfect match for this holiday bird.

Imported from Pfalz, Germany is the Sun Garden Gewürztraminer (try spelling that with your eyes closed!)

Sun Garden Gewürztraminer is a delightfully aromatic white wine. The flavor is spicy with hints of peach and mango. It is medium bodied with an optimal balance between rich fruit flavors, bright acid and subtle alcohol.
