Cassandra "Cassidy" Carlyle (Born February 1989 - January 29, 2014)
As Frederick Knight's continuous attempts to rid New Orleans of the S-gene carriers, a void began to develop as Cassidy's moral compass prevented her from condoning his behavior. While the Genesis was family, what they were doing was wrong.
For the first time, Cassidy defied her father, jumping in during a Genesis attack on a young S-Gene carrier and using her own abilities to prevent the girl's death. This would come back to Frederick Knight. In an act of "protectiveness" Cassidy was locked away in the cellars of The Melting Pot.
Shedding away her "damsel in distress" demeanor, Cassidy used her intelligence to escape. Catching wind of another one of her father's attempts at mass murdering several carriers, Cassidy jumped into the scene, asking him to surrender his quest for "justice" for her. Or else, she would leave.
Frederick, set out to prove that his quest for vengeance meant more than his love for his daughter, took away her pills and, upon becoming completely human, threw her out into the streets.
It only took a few weeks on her own, without the Genesis' support or abilities, for vengeful S Council members to go after her. Eventually, Cassidy's life was taken, summarized as "collateral damage."
At her funeral, many attended, all touched by Cassidy's pure heart. Dubbed as a pure soul, a park in New Orleans was renamed for her, filled with lilies. During her memorial, the young girl who she had saved called her, her guardian angel and that the park was just a shed of beauty and purity which Cassidy presented to the world.
Her tombstone wrote:
A Heart Full of Love
