It was true, there were only a couple people that had seen Greyson’s actual writing, knowing it was his, without it being anonymous. Sharing what he had with her, it wasn’t something that came easy to the male. Then there was Cassidy who was slowly but surely showing him a different side of her that he’d never seen before. It was nice seeing the blonde smile, he couldn’t help but smile back because of how infectious hers was. It also helped that he was able to be the one doing some teasing this time around. Greyson didn’t have to think much, hell, it was probably better that he wasn’t thinking too hard on it when he decided to kiss her again. Greyson was the type of person that could very easily get into his head and make something that he enjoyed, something that he wanted - he could turn it into something that he makes himself believe he shouldn’t have. It was a classic case of someone having such low confidence in themselves that they didn’t think they deserved anything.
Greyson’s fingers were still tangled in Cassidy’s hair while the kiss deepened, causing him to part his lips a little and move his hand down to her back, pulling her closer to him. It was a habit the male had picked up on more recently, the way he could be a bit impulsive these days. Sure, he overthought everything but as of right now he was just letting the moment take him wherever it was going to take him. Usually his impulses were something to make things worse for him but this was the first time in a long time he’d done anything that actually made him feel good, which was surprising in itself. Opening his eyes when Cassidy pulled away, Greyson looked into her bright eyes, listening to what she had to say. It was then that the questions really started hitting him and he was pulled out of the moment that had caused his whole mind to go quiet for a little while. He didn’t know if this was okay? What if she regretted kissing him once her head was clear? Which only reminded him that her head wasn’t clear. She was hurt and… Did he take advantage of that? Even his mind wasn’t clear, he was all over the place and had been for a very long time. He didn’t want to lose whatever relationship the two were building because they were feeling emotional and they were comforting each other. Then again, Greyson was horrible when it came to feelings, again ironic being a writer that wrote so much about feelings, either way, maybe he was stupid for thinking the wrong time was when emotions were high? Greyson wasn’t good at the whole acting on emotions thing, which was why he didn’t know how to properly process them. Maybe he was just making excuses to protect himself or even her from how toxic he could be nowadays.
Giving her a small smile, he leaned forward and pressed his lips against her forehead, kissing her gently before pushing himself up into a sitting position on the bed. “Kissing you is more than okay with me and I’d do it again but we should probably stop.” Getting out of the bed, he walked over to his suitcase and pulled out one of his t-shirts and whatever sweatpants type bottoms he could find, knowing that all his clothes would be over-sized on her, he just wanted to help. Walking back over to the bed, Greyson kneeled next to the bed on the side Cassidy was on handing the clothes to her before raising his hand back up and moving her hair behind her ear. “You should probably put something warm on, alright? I’ll wait in the restroom for you to get changed.” He said, more reassuring her that he wasn’t leaving, that he was going to stay there with her and be there for her no matter what. Standing back up, Greyson walked towards the bathroom in their hotel room, turning back around for a moment to look at her. “I just want you to know that next time, if there’s a next time, if that’s something we both want - I want us to both be clear minded because you’re- you’re pretty special Cassidy Ripley and I wouldn’t want to do anything to screw something up with you.” Again, Greyson didn’t know if he was doing the gentleman like thing or if he was just running from something. Either way, he did mean what he said. She was special and he didn’t want to mess with her head just because his head was all over the place.
Cassidy pressed her eyes closed when he..- he kissed her forehead? The blonde was entirely not used to being treated the way he was treating her. It was such a foreign feeling in her chest and mind. Half of her was relieved when he sat up and got off the damp bed sheets, but yet another half immediately wanted to reach for him and pull him back. As someone who always had a clear goal in mind, this confusion building in her head was difficult for Cassidy. She slowly opened her eyes as he returned and kneeled next to the bed. She sat up and looked at the him and the clothes he was handing her. She knew her own clothes were only a couple steps away and if anyone else was offering her their clothing she would’ve told them just that. But as she was coming to find, something about Greyson made her usual not so usual. She accepted the clothing and listened to his words when he walked towards the bathroom. No words left her lips as the bathroom door shut and for a moment she just looked at the warm dry clothing in the clutch of her hands. Like a lifeboat. Her blonde hair was beginning to dry a bit and she slipped off her wet clothing, hanging it near the AC vent before slipping into the clothing he had given her. The boy was taller than her so they fit a little bit off but she didn’t mind much. Cassidy was walking to go retrieve him from the bathroom when she passed a mirror and caught a glimpse of herself in his clothing. She’d never worn another mans clothes before. It looked like someone had shrunk her down, the loose clothing hanging off of her. None the less she was warm.
Her cold hands knocked on the door. “I’m decent.” She exclaimed a bit softly, waiting for him to open the door. He could be peeing after all. “How do I look?” She asked, almost cracking a small chuckle as she stretched her arms out and did a little spin for him. The blonde walked into the bathroom and crawled into the tub, taking a seat and holding her knees to her chest. “Come sit with me?” She asked, looking up at him. “The bed is a little wet. I don’t want to ruin your clothes.” Her eyes followed him as she sat in the empty tub. She took a breath and slowly exhaled, feeling calmer. “I didn’t kiss you because I was emotional- or.. I guess emotional isn’t the perfect word. More like foggy. I didn’t kiss you because I was foggy. I don’t wan you to think that. I kissed you becuase I wanted to kiss you. J-Just to clarify..- we can leave it on that.” She said, letting her eyes travel down to her fingers then back to him again towards the end of her sentence. “Maybe next time it’ll be a different scenario, a dryer one maybe.” Her pink lips curved slightly into a small smile. “If there’s a next time.” She added, playfully mocking his previous words before curling up a tad in his shirt she was wearing.
