Cassie played with the clasp from the can okay, small noises coming from her finger nails whenever they came in contact with the metal but when asher asks her to look at him, she does, and she sees in what kind of dilemma he is, that he's obviously fighting something but for cassie it's so hard to undertand why because she is so different, she is always the first to blurt out how she feels but she gets asher is different but it's frustrating her, but the next words that left asher's words left her speechless for a moment or two tbh bc they were filled with so mich vulnerability and doubt, cassie thought she only imagined it. And she looks at asher like he's said the most ridiculous thing ever and she tries to find words but her minds racing. She puts the can down and makes her way over to where he's leaning in the doorframe and Ā "of course i sill want you, what are you even saying?" and she puts a hand on his cheek and she looks him in the eye, "of course I want you" and she just hugs him so tight bc she's missed him so damn much and she hates fighting with him, she hates it so much
Bc asher has his lips pressed into his tight line as she says this and for a moment just lets her and doesnāt like. React greatly or anything. Bc heās struggling with that so much tbh, he doesnāt like showing off his vulnerable side but cassies the only one whoās gotten to see it before other than mason but probably not to that extent and wen she hugs him he hugs back and when heās certain sheās not looking his face contorts into this grimace of pain and relief alike??? And itās like. His heart is actually so heavy but heās not going to dwell on that and after staying like that for a moment he just puts this sort of smile on his face thatās supposed to be a lil smug but letās be honest itās anything but and he tilts her chin up a little with his finger and heās like. Trying to get the upper hand again here? And heās just like āyou better mean thatā and kisses her and. Fjdnskdnkc
Tbh cassie can't help smiling up at him, a smile that's not quite reaching her eyes but it's a smile and even tho they haven't talked about it, everything is fine now, she has her asher back or so it seems and she couldn't be happier about that. She knows how big of a struggle for asher it is but as long as everything's fine between the two and they treat each other well again, then so be it, she can let it slide. Ā And the kiss is probs so slow and sweet, longingly and passionate, so much emotion, her arms around his neck and her hands interlocked behind his head. So when they pull apart, her eyes remain closed for a little longer before she opens it and she puts her head to the side "I do" pause "and "now tell me what the hell you been up to these days"
Lmao imagine theyāre naked on the couch still blissed out and just kind of happy to have each other back in their arms and asher teases her about her birthmark on her bum and they just have this quilt over them
