“i’m coming, i’m coming!” she calls, as she gets to the door to open it. if anyone asked, presley was actually doing something of importance on her one day off this week, maybe. but in reality she was in her most comfortable sweatpants watching re-runs of old faves on netflix. grinning when she sees who it is. “hey! cass! angel face, my love who seems to have brought me alcohol., come in come in!” she moves aside, offering her arms out to help with the load of goodies brought. she knows that cassie must be here for a reason if she showed up randomly without texting, and presley is nothing if ready to drop everything for the other, if she’s honest. “i suppose this is loads better than watching parks and rec again, but to what do i owe the pleasure? what are we doing today?”

she was glad that presley was home. there was a chance she wouldn’t be, in which she’d like just scout around for the spare key and let herself in, but regardless, i was nice that she didn’t have to low-key break in. “you only love me for my alcohol, i see how it is.” she laughs softly, letting presley take some of the things from her arms. “we can always watch together.” she points out, setting the items down on the table. “nothing in particular. to both things. unless there’s something you want to do. but, i just wanted to come see you. i’ve been having a few crappy days and haven’t gone anywhere but work, so.. i wanted to get out of the house. i just don’t feel like going anywhere... too public. i’ll eventually need to go to the grocery store but, i digress.”

her head ducked slightly at the comment, a little shy, hand running absently through long hair. “i’m sure it’ll come to you,” she reassured, with a nod of her head for emphasis. although jaime didn’t require much in the way of thinking for her own job–for the most part, barista-ing was quite straightforward–she herself was quite patient, and hoped that logic was at least a little relevant. “i need a…” she paused, glancing at the messy writing on her palm. “connecting rod? i’m trying to fix up a motorbike. it’s not going well,” she lamented, voice a little defeated. “i can come back though, if i’m interrupting?”

she sighs softly, nodding her head. “maybe i just need a break, so. i’d be happy to help with whatever you need.” cassie wipes her hands along her jeans, and eyebrow raising slightly as she reads off of her hand. “did ya bring the bike in? i can take a look at it for you if you want. i don’t mind. and no, you’re not interruptin’ anything. the cars for a frequent and he knows it’ll take me a bit to fix it. you can tell someone to just get a new damn car so many times but they never freaking listen.” she offers the other a soft grin as she speaks. “i can set you up with a connecting rod, though. if i don’t have ‘em i can order ‘em for you. but again, i wouldn’t mind just taking a look for you.”

jaime’s eyebrows quirked at the star trek reference, trying – and miserably failing – to hide an amused smile. “i canna’ change the laws of physics,” she quipped back, before she could stop herself. she’d only come in to enquire about a spare part for her bike, but, seeing that cas was busy, decided to give her a moment before asking for help. “what’s wrong with him?” she asked, directing her gaze towards the bonnet with interest.

cassie laughs at the reference, smiling widely over at the girl. “adorable.” she grinned softly, before she sighs, shrugging her shoulders. “that’s the problem. i don’t know.” she practically whined. she prided herself on her work, and often got easily frustrated when she couldn’t figure something out within a certain amount of time. “i don’t know and it’s killing me. but ▬ it’s okay. it can wait. what can i do for you, pretty?”

cassie was big on spontaneous gestures. they didn’t need to be flashy, but sometimes she would just randomly just show up at someones place because she was bored or in this case, because she was thinking about them. her mental health had been, well, bad, and she had stayed locked herself away until she started to feel a bit better. she still didn’t feel like doing that much, but randomly showing up at presley’s house was a grand enough gesture for cas in the state she had been in. he foot taps on the door, arms full of takeout and beer. “pres, pres ! open up.” she smacks her foot against the door again. “come on, come on. i’m impatient ! “ @presleyelijah
