it's so funny how you can hear anne hathaway imitating charli xcx's singing accent on the opening track to the Mother Mary soundtrack, likely from the charli demo she listened to. i mean it's pretty much charli's exact accent when she hits those vowels and yet both anne and mother mary are.... american. the thing is tho that it's not even all that out of character because suddenly singing in a british accent is a classic american popstar thing to do, like very madonna core. its still just so funny and i can't unhear it.
