Cassandra watched on as the masked men argued in front of her, it was proving to be a bit of a distraction as she continued to use her powers to manipulate the youngest robber who she was currently holding hands with, something she had to do in order to put him into a state of high suggestibility. The other men had begun to clock on though. “Oi, go and sit the fuck back down.” Cassandra looked up at one of the robbers shouting at her and the other hostage she’d managed to bring with her.Â
Chewing on her lower lip she peered over at the male standing next to her, “You’re not going to let him speak to us like that are you?” She asked softly, her seductive voice helping to manipulate the male. The young robber looked at her entranced as he shook his head.Â
“Don’t speak to them like that.” He snapped back at his partners. The four men looked at each other confused before looking back at the male.Â
“What the fuck man? You’re meant to have kept all the hostages tied up in the Foyer.”
The young male looked back at Cass almost waiting for his next instruction. She just gave him a smile nodding her head letting her powers do the rest. “I’m putting them both in one of the offices.” He told them, his voice confident with the help of Cassandra’s powers.
“But why? Do you know them?” One of the other robbers asked not liking the fact he was changing the plan. With another glance to the raven-haired female, he went to open his mouth to answer the question before getting interrupted from one of the four men.Â
“Why do you keep looking at her? What the fuck is going on?” Cassandra didn’t like all the questions, nor did she like the raised voices. She tried to block them out and concentrate but she could feel her grip on the male slipping slightly.Â
“N-Nothing is going on, I just need to put them in the other room.” She could tell she was losing him by his tone, he sounded confused, vague even.Â
“Who are they? And why the fuck are you holding hands with her -- Now is not the time to be making girlfriends man.” Their tones were getting more and more aggressive, and Cassandra could feel the male loosening her hand before he pulled it back completely.Â
“I don’t know...” The male sounded lost as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. The raven-haired female tried to discretely grab his hand again.Â
“Hey, T, it’s her... Look at her, she’s doing something to him-- I bet she’s one of those freaks they told us about.” She could feel the men’s eyes on her, their guns pointing in her direction. Raising her hands she tried to show them she meant no harm as she looked back at the other hostage worried.Â
“I’m not doing---” Before she could even finish she had been interrupted.
“Don’t let her talk, she could mess with your head.” Cassandra shook her head at the male speaking.Â
“No, honest--” The female was cut off by a loud bang, she looked around confused. Her eyes fell on one of the other masked men standing a few feet away from her, gun trained on her as his hands shook.
“I-I...She was going to mess with our heads... You said to stop her talking.” He rambled nervously, it was only then that Cassandra began to register pain in her abdomen. Looking down she saw a red stain on her top as blood began to pool across her torso. Her mouth parted slightly shocked. Pressing her palm down against the mangled flesh she felt her legs go weak at the knee as the dark crimson blood seeped through her fingers.Â
