For those of you who didn't know grass has flowers. This is a grass flower stalk. Usually wind pollinated, grass doesn't need big showy flowers to attract insects. Yay plants!

Wild currant blossoms. Depending on the type of currant, the flowers can range from pinkish white to yellow.

Golden banner. From the pea family, NOT EDIBLE. But very pretty.

Young salsify blossom. Edible taproot that should be harvested before the flower blooms. It will become too tough to eat after.

I was allowed a hike today as my Mother's day present. I hadn't taken a hike since the stay at home advisory. It was almost a relief to get out on a trail. A lovely cool Spring day in the park ♡

Why is it so hard to capture the true beauty of nature? The picture of this sunrise just does not compare to seeing the real thing.

What would happen if there wasn't an energy bending Lion turtle in the physical realm and Aang had to think long and hard before making his decision to kill Ozai before he battles the tyrant? If Avatar Aang had killed the Phoenix King (Ozai), would his course of action lead him to a much darker path (especially concerning his promise to Zuko that he'll kill him if he became like Ozai)?

I speculate that Aang would have killed Ozai while in the avatar state. Would this have sent him into a period of darkness? Yes, I think as a 12 year old with a gentle soul, Aang would have had a hard time coping with this outcome. But I think that with time and the support of his friends he would eventually forgive himself and move on.

The question then is would Zuko still have found out what had happened to his mother if Ozai was killed?
