If Jason Todd had to take over as Batman for a year or two while Bruce Wayne was under investigation for some major crimes he didn't do and er, Ric Grayson was unavailable, how well would Todd do as the Dark Knight in fighting crime, saving lives and cooking up plans...without killing anyone? Also, how much time would Gordon and the rest of the GCPD put in on proving Wayne's innocence? Note: This "replacement Batman" scenario could happen in ANY DC universe.
Scenario 1: Impersonation
(This would happen if Bruce was out-of-commission/framed and need a sub for a few months.)
- Jason wears Bruce’s bat suit with minimal changes.
- Jason trys to imitate Bruce’s fighting to his best ability. Obviously no killing.
- He doesn’t have his guns, however, he did electrify the bats suit symbol.
- Bruce is be hovering liked crazy (to his best ability)
Scenario 2: Jason’s own Batman
(This would happen if Bruce Retired/Died and Dick would be unavailable.)
- Jason kills the Joker as the Red Hood.
- He then fakes the Red Hood’s death.
- He creates his own bat suit, which would be loaded to the brim with weapons.
- Jason ditches his guns because it would link him to the Red Hood.
- He precedes to become the new Batman.
- However, he would not kill as Batman, In fact his last kill in relation to Gotham would be the Joker.
- Overall Jason would be a good Batman and would tend to focus on the more impoverished sides of Gotham.
- His Batman is known to be more violent, however is more effective than Bruce when it comes to gangs. (This is because Jason knows the inner workings of gangs after being a crime lord.)
- Jason has a no robin policy, he refuses to have any more kids put on the field.
- He sometimes leads the Justice League, but only during would ending threats, otherwise he lets them fend for themselves.
- Jason would kill during Justice League missions, however it would only be the biggest of the bads.
