Cinder was an experiment in a lab outside Manehatten. The lab was trying to create the perfect defense for Equestria by creating their own creature of chaos (discord). In doing so the did create a powerful creature, just not in the way they had hopped. When Cinder escaped, he runs into a small pegasus wearing a strange gem around her neck. With her help, Cinder was able to hide away from those who were looking for them.Â

Amorisâ Back story is under the cutÂ
One day Skies was going through the market is her son Otto. Normally most of the vendors in the market are towns folk or some creatures from near by towns. Today there was a new vendor that every creature was avoiding. Their booth was off by itself and had an almost tent like canvas over it. âMom whatâs thatâ Otto asks pointing a hoof in the odd boothâs direction. Skies looks over at the booth âmust be someone new....wonder why they have their booth coveredâ Skies wonders allowed. âCan we goâ Otto asks with a tilt of his head.Â
Skies signs âIâm not sure sweetheart....â
âPlease Mom, just a peakâ
âOkay okayâ
The two ponies walk over to the mysterious booth. As they get closer to the booth they begin to hear noises of many different creatures. Inside the tent the two ponies are met with a dozen cages lining the sides of the booth. âWhoaâ Otto starts getting excited and runs further inside. âOtto waitâ Skies nervously calls to Otto. He does not respond. Hesitantly Skies enters the tent âOtto sweetheart where are you....â A large griffon steps into Skies path. Skies jumps back âsorry excuse me...I did not see you there...â the griffon stared at her without a word. âUm...did you see a young colt run through here...he has two metal legsâ Skies asks as the griffon looks up and down Skies. âThere...â the griffon raises a claw towards a corner where Otto is staring at one of the cages. âThank youâ Skies hurries over to Otto. âMom why is there an egg in a cageâ Otto points at a foal sized egg in one of the many cages along the wall. As Skies turns to ask the griffin, the griffin is already next to Skies. âBad egg...will not hatchâ the griffin says agitated.Â

The griffin huffs as he grabs the keys for the cages. âMo-â Skies cuts Otto off. âIâll tell you when we get homeâ Skies says under her breathe. Otto lowers his ears unsure as to what has caused his mother to be so upset. âTake it and get outâ the griffin huffs shoving the egg at Skies. She gentle grabs the egg with her wings and nods at Otto âthank you...I wouldnât stay in this town very long...creatures here are not too fond of hunters especially ones that let their creatures die...â As Skies and Otto are leaving Winter and the town mayor enter the tent.Â
âMom...is the egg really...â Otto starts to tear up. âIâm not sure sweetheart, but I couldnât just leave it there...â Skies holds the eggs close. The two quietly walk home full of sorrow for the creatures they had to leave behind. As Skies and Otto are walking home, Otto keeps hearing some weird noises. âMom whatâs that noise?â Skies stops in her tracks âwhat noise?â Otto steps closer to Skies and raises one of his ears to the egg âI think itâs the egg? Mom itâs still alive!â Skies raises the egg up to her ears and hears a faint heart beat. âwe need to go see grandmare now!â
Short Background:Â Eclipse was born into a noble family outside of the Equestrian lands. In those lands the birth on an Alicorn was seen as terrible omen. Her parents hid her existence from the kingdom, stating that only Eclipseâs twin brother was the only one to survive. For most of her childhood, Eclipse was shut within her bedroom with very little pony interaction. It wasnât until Eclipse and her brother were teenagers, that they found a way for Eclipse to escape.Â

Short Background:Â Love Bugâs history is a bit unknown. Scarlet Sunrose (mod) met her when they were in art school and have been dating ever since. When she is not in her challenging form, she is a unicorn mare named Sapphire Heart. The town knows that Love Bug is a changeling, but keep it quiet around visitors.Â

The townâs sheriff is often seen dragging stallions away to the town doctor. Jazz may look like the finest mare around, but her beautiful façade hides her true nature of being a total flirt with the mares, snarky, and hint of sarcastic remarks.

Autumnâs backstory is under the cutÂ
Autumn wasnât so much as a planned conception, but more of an unforeseen result of a one night stand. Winter Snowfrost was out and about on patrol late one evening. As she made her way down the town, she spots a tall slender mare with autumn colored hair and bright blue eyes that glistened in the moonlight. Winter was able to win the mareâs attention and woo her that night. Months later Winter heard a knock on her front door, she was greeted by a young filly who looked very familiar.
 Now Winter was not the Motherly type and had little to no interest in children whatsoever. So Winter turns to her ex girlfriend who was one of those very motherly types of ponies. âSkies please I donât know what to do with itâ Winter whines as she slowly slides down to Skiesâ hooves. Rolling her eyes and with an annoyed tone âI told you one of these days all that sleeping around would bite you in the flank and donât talk about your child like sheâs a thingâ Skies said with a loud stomp of her hoof. Winter jumps back and back into her feet âSkies please babe I canât and Iâm pretty sure she isnât mine...I mean I didnât birth...herâ Winter bites her bottom lip âIâm not even sure how that would even be possible.â Skies glares at Winter giving her the âreallyâ look of disappointment. âAlright letâs make a deal, if sheâs really your kid you give me back my wayward mares novels, and if she isnât Iâll give you that thing youâve been asking forâ Skies holds out a hoof. Winterâs eyes light up and she runs over to Skies and shakes her hoof excitedly.Â
So after talking so the local doctors of the town, the mysterious filly was in fact Winterâs daughter. âSo Iâd like my books back by tomorrow please dearâ Skies almost purred with pleasure of being right. Winter was frozen with the news of the filly somehow being hers that she didnât even react to Skies teasing. On the way to Winterâs lodge Skies accompanies Winter to make sure she was okay. âWinter are you okayâ Skies asks touching Winterâs shoulder with one of her wings? Winter jumps with the touch to her shoulder âwhat what whatâd I do...â she stops in her tracks. Skies begins to become considered âWinter youâre acting odder than usual.â Winter looks away from Skies and with a huff âItâs nothing I am fineâ and stomps away. Skies almost growls with frustration and extends her wings before taking off down the path after Winter and tackles her to the ground. âDonât you dare pull that crap with me, I know you Winter...whatâs bothering youâ Skies demands continuously pinning Winter to the ground.Â
âI canât be a Mother...I barely even knew birth Mother let alone my other Mother who took me in and then just left me to find for myself when I was 14...â Winter looks away from Skies trying to hide the tears running down her cheeks. Winterâs daughter had caught up to the two mares and was in the mist of tears âwhat are you doing to my Momma?â Skies lets go of Winter and steps away from her âyouâre Momma was being as stubborn as ever and I was just telling her if she needed anything she knew where to find me...â Skies looks over at Winter and offers a wing to help her up. Winter jumps up and embraces Skies with a kiss on the lips. She pulls back âthanks Skies youâre the bestâ she gives Skies a wink.Â
Skies pushes Winter away with her wings âWinter you know how I feel when you do that...weâre not a thing anymore and we especially donât need to confuses...â Skies looks over at the little filly who was staring at the two mares with a sparkle in her eyes. Winter looks at Skies âconfuse who?â she asks with a tilt of her head. Skies sighs and looks at Winter âyour daughter Winter and you need to give her a name before I do.â Winter gives Skies a smirk âpfft like you already have a name in mind for herâ she teases. Skies rolls her eyes âAutumn Frost, it works off your name and the colors in her maneâ she huffs. The grey unicorn blinks a few times before speaking âoh yeah I have a way better name for Autumn....fine you win...â Winter looks way now with a slight blush across her cheeks. Skies smiles as she turns around to wip Winter with her tail before taking to the sky âremember Winter you still owe me my booksâ Skies takes off out of the forest.Â
Autumn walks over to Winter and sits next to her âMomma why did she leave, doesnât she like youâ Autumn asks looking up as Winter. Winter gives Autumn a small smile before leading Autumn down the tail as she explained why someponies may like each other, but sometimes it doesnât work out.Â
Mod Notes: Otto was the first kiddo that Skies adopted into her little family, he has a talent of putting things back together or taking broken things and making them into something new. He is a sweet colt who loves helping ponies but because of his past is hesitant on meeting other ponies without Skies or Eclipse presentÂ
Ottoâs Background under the cutÂ
Otto was orphaned at a very young age. He never knew his birth parents or where he came from. All the little colt knew was that he was alone and didnât have anywhere he truly calls home. Through his early childhood, Otto was constantly moved from orphanage to orphanage due to overcrowding. Each time Otto moved he grew colder to others. Then one day Otto was relocated to an orphanage in a small farming town. Somehow this move was different to Otto, he felt like it could be home or that this town had a warming atmosphere to it.Â
A few months passed and Otto had not been relocated and it was beginning to look as though this small orphanage would be his home for a while. Most of the younger ponies spent their time outside in the yard, except for Otto who spent most of his time sneaking off to the broken down playscape behind the orphanage. Otto loved putting things back together or âupgradingâ something old into something awesome and new. The caretakers took notice one day of Otto disappearing and was scolded for ignoring the rules of the orphanage. After that day Otto got into even more trouble as he constantly snuck out to work on the broken plays cape; until one day Otto was locked out of the orphanage on a cold and rainy night.Â
Otto begged and banged on all the door and window to be let back in, but the caretakers forbid for the little ponies to let Otto back inside. So Otto was left to wonder way from the orphanage in search of some shelter from the storm. Unfortunately for Otto, the orphanage was very close to an unkind forest. Otto drenched in rain finds a group of trees to get underneath. The little pony was so concerned about what he was gonna do now, that he did not hear the large wooden foot stepps that were slowly approaching Otto from behind him.Â
Before Otto could turn around a large wooden wolf jumps at Otto growling as it approaches Otto. Otto was scared for his life, more wooden wolves howled not far behind where Otto stood. This was it Otto was gonna die by this wooden beast and itâs brethren. Otto stared right into the eyes of the beast that was ready to pounce on its prey. Tears ran down Ottoâs cheeks as the wolfâs hot breath hit his face. Just as the wolf was about to attack Otto, one of the other wooden wolves tackles the wolf in front of Otto. This was the window of opportunity that Otto needed! Otto took off and ran as fast as his legges could take him straight to the edge of the forest. Unforchanel for Otto the wooden wolves catch up to Otto as he reaches the edge of the forest.Â
One of the wolves lonches at Otto and latches itâs large wooden fangs into Ottoâs left back leg. The pain is overwhelming and over takes Otto causing him to stop in his tracks allowing the other wolf to chomp down on another one of Ottoâs legs. Otto tries to break free from the wolves grasp, but one of the wolves scratches at Ottoâs face scratching across one of his eyes. Otto was loosing too much blood and was on the verge of passing out when he see something fly through the sky. A loud whistle came from the sky drawing the attention of the wooden wolves. Otto wasnât for sure, but he could have sworn he saw a large thundercloud quickly approaching the ground.Â
Just as Otto was about to give up hope, a bright light flashes above him with a large crackle of thunder. The wolves let go of Otto and run away with the tops of their bodies now on fire. Otto attempt to get up, but the amount of pain he was in prevented such a feet. A tall figure lands in front of Otto and quickly approaches Otto âhey stay with meâŠsweetheart youâre gonna be okayâ said the tall figure in a soft and warming tone.Â

 Otto slowly opens his eyes and finds himself inside a room with very little furniture. Many tubes and wires were covering Ottoâs body which caused Otto to become uneasy and begin to shout for help. A few mares with white hats ran into the room to hold down Otto and try to relax him. âWhere am I why am I here?!â Otto was beginning to try and break free of the mares trying to hold Otto down. A male unicorn in a long white coat walks into the room accompanied by a tall pegasus who looked familiar.  âChild you need to calm down! Your body is still healing, so sit downâ said the male unicorn in a stern voice.Â
Otto stops struggling and listens to the male unicorn. âwhat happenedâŠâ Otto asks in a weakened tone. The male unicorn looks over to the pegasus who stood a good head taller than himself. âThank you nurses that will be allâ the male unicorn dismisses the mares that were holding down Otto. The pegasus approaches Otto and gives him a warm smile before sitting down on the chair near Ottoâs bed. The male unicornâs horn glows green and the door to the room closes behind him. âAlright first off, I am Doctor Heart Rate. I run this hospital here in ponyvilleâ Heart Rate fixes his chestnut mane as Otto looks him up and down ânow what is your name?âÂ
Otto looks over to the pegasus as if asking if it was okay to talk to the doctor. The pegasus smiles again and nods her head âm-my nameâŠ.I think itâs blueprintâŠâ he stutters âat least thatâs just the only thing Iâve been called the most I guessâ Otto looks down and realizes something was missing. He begins to panic âw-whereâs my other hoof â Otto looks over to where his other arm use to be and only finds a numb of his former arm. The pegasus reaches a hoof over to Otto and rests her hoof on Ottoâs shoulder. Otto instantly looks at the pegasus and tears begin rolling down his cheeks ânow Iâm brokenâŠwhoâs gonna want a broken ponyâŠ.â Otto says with no hope left in his voice.Â
Weeks went by and Otto was slowly healing from his injuries from the wooden wolves. The pegasus that looked familiar continued to visit Otto in the hospital, she was the only pony who didnât look at Otto as if he was a lost cause. âHey blueprint, what do you like to do for funâ the pegasus asks pulling back her curly mane into a ponytail. âWhat I like to doâ Otto replies questionlyâ The pegasus tilts her head âwell do you like to draw, play with cars, read books, build thingsâŠyou know what do you like to doâ the pegasus grabs a pencil out of her bag along with a notepad. Even though Otto felt safe around this pegasus, he still wasnât sure if he could be honest with her. âWhyâ Otto asks with slight concern. The pegasus smiles âwell youâve been stuck in this room for a while so I figured Iâd go into town and pick up some things for you.â Otto looks at the pegasus with tears in his eyes âwhyâŠâ was all he could utter out of his mouth.Â
The Pegasus walks over to Otto and gives him a warm hug causing Otto to absolutely lose it. Otto grabs the Pegasus tightly and shoves his face into her chest. âBlueprint sweetheartâ Otto lifts his head up to look at the Pegasus âwhatâs really wrong?â Otto looks down trying to catch his breath âno one has ever asked me what I wantedâŠ.â Otto begins crying again.Â
A month has passed and it was coming close to the time of Ottoâs release from the hospital. âSkies you know he has to go backâ says a periwinkle unicorn in soft voice in the hallway. âBut he canât, those ponies that run that place are absolutely dreadfulâ says the tall Pegasus in an angered tone. âHeâs been through so muchâŠâ the Pegasus known as skies tries to hide the sorrowfulness in her voice. The unicorn gives Skies a look âwell if youâre so worried about him why donât you just adopted him Skiesâ the unicorn says in a slightly annoyed tone. âCapsuleâŠeven if I wanted toâŠthey wonât let meâŠ.â Skies lowers her ears âIâve tried asking and they turned me downâŠâ Capsule Case gives Skies a look before her horn glows a teal green. A pile of papers float over to Skies âwell good thing I pulled some stringsâ Skies looks at Capsule Case and then at the papers âyouâre gonna be a hell of a Momâ Capsule Case giggles as Skies tackles her thanking her over and over.Â
The first few months Otto had trouble adjusting to finally having some place to call home and having a new name âOtto.â Skies thought that changing his name would help make his ânew lifeâ official. Slowly but surely Otto began to open up and show his true colors. Otto would fix things around the house and take things apart to make new things to help around the house. âSkies can you help me with something pleaseâ Otto ask Skies softly. âYes sweetieâ Skies flies down to see what Otto needs. âI wanna make something, but I need a few thingsâŠâ Otto shows Skies a few drawings âI think I can do itâŠâ Skies smiles warmly âI know just the place to get that kind of stuff, but weâll have to wait a few daysâ she replies. Otto tilts his head in confusion âwhat kinds of placeâ he asks. âYouâll have to wait and seeâ she smiles and walks into the other room.Â
Just as Skies said she knew just the place to take Otto to get the supplies he needed. âWhatâs this place Skiesâ Otto asks with excitement. Skies smiles âwell this is kinda like the market we go to, but this one has just about anything you could think of.â âAh yes I love this placeâ says the unicorn Skies refers to as Mom as sticks up her nose to sniff the air âah and the smell is just heavenly.â Skies giggles at her Motherâs enthusiasm âalright calm down Mom we came here to get stuff for Otto, but Iâm sure weâll come across some old books as old as youâ she teases. Skiesâ Mother sticks out her tongue at Skies childishly âpfft as if, but they do tend to have your romance books~â she snickers. Skiesâ face lights up a bright red âMOMâ Skies says flustered. âYou know I only tease, donât worry deary itâs okay to be curiousâ she teases. âAlright Iâm gonna tell Mr. Slime Boat you said yes to a late night dinnerâ Skies gives glares at her Mother. âFine, whatâs the first thing we need Otto deary?â asks Skiesâ Mother.Â
The trio returns home with a large hall of books of all kinds, miscellaneous mechanical parts, metal plates from old pony armor, odd looking potions, and a large assortment of tools. âGoodness what was one of the most interesting shopping tripsâ Skiesâ Mother says happily âSkies Iâll help get Otto all set up if you can get dinner startedâ she asks. âOh sure I can do thatâ Skies smiles and heads into the kitchen. Otto looks up at Skiesâ Mother âum miss Eclipseâ he asks softly. Eclipse looks over at Otto âyou can just call me Eclipse sweetieâ she smiles âdid you need something?â âWhy do you hide your wingsâ Otto asks gesturing to his shoulder blades. Eclipse picks up Otto with her magic and sets him down on the floor âwell because I donât want to be a princessâ Eclipse says with a saddened tone âI donât like how ponies treat princesses, like theyâre above everypony elseâ Eclipse sighs âand that just isnât the life for me.â Otto looks down âIâm sorry for askingâ Otto lowers his ears. Eclipseâs horn glows brightly for a moment and as the light fades her wings are present. Eclipse walks over to Otto and kisses him on the head âdonât worry about it sweetheart Skies asked that question a lot when she was your ageâ she smiles.
Weeks went by and Otto was continuously working on his project with the assistants of Eclipse on the more dangerous task. Then the day came for the big reveal of Ottoâs big project. Eclipse brought Skies in with a blind fold over her eyes. âWait right hereâ Eclipse tells Skies. Skies sit down and wait to see the surprise that Otto had planned for her. âAlright open your eyesâ Otto announces with a very excited tone. Skies removes her blind fold with one of her wings to be met with Otto standing up on all fours. Otto was smiling brightly âwatch thisâ Otto extends his front mechanical leg slowly off the ground and slowly but surely stubbly walks over to Skies. Unfortunately Otto falls down to the floor after a few steps. Skies rushes over to Otto and lifts him up âare you okay sweetheartâ she says with worry in her voice. âYeah Iâm okay Mom, just gotta tweak some thingsâ he smiles and gives Skies a hug.
