Getting back into restricting is honestly the best feeling in the world. It makes you feel like you FINALLY have control over yourself again.
I could never figure out why Iâm so lazy - but also always exhausted. I always try to make things right, just to get them wrong all over again. This is one of the things that really make me question myself.
I feel so fucking low and even though I know what I could do to make it better I just fucking.. don't?
Like theoretically I know if I eat healthy foods and sleep and exercise and positive posture that I will probably feel better but it just feels so impossible?
I could easily get out of bed rn and clean something and feel a little bit better, but you know what, I fucking don't.
Useless.
hey i know weâre all made to feel guilty for it, but u donât need to wait for your energy reserves to get to 0% before you allow yourself to take a break and recharge.
i donât force my phone to hit zero before i plug it in, or else it takes ages for it to even turn back on, and ages longer to get it to a level where Iâm comfy taking it out of the house. similarly, pushing yourself to use up the last dregs of energy is gonna slow you down for way longer than you need.
take a break when you can (regardless of whether you âdeserveâ it!) and do what you need to recharge.
how come no one talks about those days where your mental health just crashes down randomly and you start feeling ashamed of yourself because you were doing so good and now you feel like a complete failure because you canât figure out where you went wrong.
video description: a tiny, tubby orange and white kitten is rolling around on a patterned blanket. someone approaches him with an appropriately small brush and attempts to groom him, succeeding in brushing his side and tummy but then having to field his clumsy attempts at smacking the brush. he is so cute it is criminal.
This is how I want to be for October but it probably won't happen
Friend: whatâs wrong dude?
Me: nothing in particular, everything in general.
Is there anything more heartbreaking than seeing how fat you actually are in a candid photo someone else took
I know everyone here wishes this but GOD I wish food disinterested me. I wish I had a busy, interesting life that made me forget to eat. Like a frazzled police detective who just saw a dead body and can barely stomach anything other than coffee while they work on their case. Or an intern whoâs so busy trying to climb the corporate ladder of success she doesnât realize that sheâs been functioning on liquid caffeine for the past few days. But here I am, laying in bed and desperately trying not to think of the ice cream in the freezer
having an eating disorder and having common sense at the same time is like knowing that youâre going crazy but canât do nothing about itâŠ
Stop attacking me please
I never used to understand what people meant by having an âanaâ voice talking to them in their heads. It sounded a bit too psychotic to relate to me⊠like, you have an eating disorder, not schizophrenia, right!? But as this disorder got stronger and when I began to lose control of how much I could restrict, my internal dialogue with myself became harsher the more I âfailedâ and binged. Losing weight was no longer as easy and I impulsively began to beat myself up for it. You verbally abuse yourself so much in your head everyday that itâs easy to forget that itâs actually you, therefore making you feel crazy and that itâs someone else possessing you. So for me, thatâs the âvoice in your headâ ⊠the internal hatred I have for myself. I AM the disorder and I AM the voice, but I simply have no control over how I choose to treat myself.
I need to be better
The worse part of my depression is how lonely I feel. Nothing breaks me as fast and as deep as my loneliness
