Hey everyone. There's a new youtube feature that rolled out just yesterday that's raising some privacy concerns.

People in the U.S., U.K., Brazil, and Singapore can now share videos and chat with friends directly within the YouTube app. The update bring

This post talks about a new DM feature in youtube. What it fails to mention is that as part of this new feature is that when you send someone a link to a video, and they open it in the youtube app, they will see who sent them the link. Specifically, your channel name.

If your google account name is your real name, so is your channel name by default.

This means the new default behavior is that everyone you send a youtube link to will see your full name if they open it in the mobile app.

To turn this off:

Go to your youtube app settings

Go to Privacy

Turn off "Channel visibility for shared links"

Trimming the source id (the stuff after the '?' in links) will also prevent this from happening.

Yeah, the reference for this is one hundred percent hamsters! Throughout my childhood and adulthood, hamsters have been my faithful small rodent companions. Yooo! I have a cheeky request if you’d like to try drawing some warp stuff! My Primarch OC Lucien is a rainbow glitter ball of love and peace, a powerful psyker who’s difficult to look at directly. He comes from a world where everything is trippy and mindbending, saturated in radiation and Warp energy. I’d love to see your interpretation of him, he’s basically the legal version of slaanesh and a somatic healer who uses his curves to alleviate the universe’s suffering 🩷

His themes: the sea, blinding light, two suns, eldritch angel vibes, cognitohazards, cotton candy, pastel dreamcore and rainbows 

His colours: holographic / opaline / iridescent

Have fun with as much stylistic freedom as you like! I usually put chromatic aberration and glitch silhouettes for his visual distortion in realspace, I’d love to see your ideas! :D

Having a minor meltdown about the announcement of Guild war three. WHO KNEW THAT THIS WOULD BE AN ANXIETY TRIGGER FOR ME??? I assure as fuck didn’t think it would be! I have calmed down a bit but goddamn. Considering that arena net is pretty good as game companies go, and have proven in the past that they haven’t abandoned previous works with Guild wars one, I’m not freaking out as much as I think I would be otherwise, but… I’ve been playing Gw2 since 2012 and it’s something I’ve always returned to as a comfort game, and this is hitting me kinda hard. Just needed to scream for a little bit because the reaction I’ve seen has been positive! And I feel like a weird weirdo for freaking out as badly as I am XD

 my current campaign’s character, my dear sweet Nullity! A level four Eldridge domain cleric.  Having a great deal of fun with her and her figuring out her religious trauma and a fuck ton of body dysmorphia!!she didn’t used to look like this.  But since my brain literally can’t do one thing with a character, she has to have multiple things for every single character. I’m kind of tempted to make a mutated race of humanity in Warhammer with her as the template.…
