“I don’t keep track of my parents’ finances any longer as I haven’t had contact with them since I was sixteen. But when I left, it was somewhere around…in U.S. Dollars it would be $5.4 billion.” She said this matter-of-factly, as if it were quite expected. “My life is not so interesting. It was boring really. And any love interests would just make it fictional.” Nari shook her head. “I don’t drink except on very rare occasions. Empty calories.”Â
“Cool, that’s a lot. I can’t even react to that amount, because I can’t even imagine that much money. My mind can only get my head around the hundreds. Do you still get left money?” Where Lina had grown up, her parents had told her it was a little rude to talk about money in such a way. Why would it be rude though? People just weren’t secure enough to acknowledge that we all want money. “Good point. None of us want a beer belly. Must keep that in mind.”
