When it comes back up and you’re finally able to get to that fic you’ve been wanting to read, leave the author a comment about it.

“I’ve been checking AO3 every twenty minutes to see if it’s back up so that I could come read this!”

“So glad that AO3 came back because I was dying without this fic!”

“I have been eating my hair because I’ve been unable find out what happens next in this fic due to the AO3 shutdown!”

I guarantee it will make the author’s day to know that someone was thinking of their fic during all of this, so spread the love!!

oh my god, there's whole books series that ALREADY do that. Have they never heard of the No Fear series published by Sparknotes? It puts a plain everyday english translation on the opposite page from the original text, plus character lists with descriptions and helpful commentary.
