a guy that i was only sort of friends with at university (he would pick me up in his car a few times a week and we would take turns taking eachother out for dinner & then he would drop me off and go home, in two very short and concentrated bursts of time) but not romantically because i didn’t want to date and we didn’t have that vibe. he moved to london and i never saw him again until i got my first job in london and he walked past me because it turned out his office was next to mine, but anyway we met up for one cigarette and never became friends again and swapped a few fake “let’s catch up soon!!”s over the years. there has been a few instances where he has randomly blown up my phone in the middle of the night and i’ve woken up to 1000 texts saying pick up and/or clearly drunkenly tried to make plans with me. the only time i have been awake for these encounters was firstly my second week in thailand thanks to the time difference, in which he asked me to send a picture when i said i was in thailand so i sent him a picture of the street next to my balcony and then he said “of u” so i took a pic up my nose with a peace sign saying ‘Peace Up A Town’ and he never text me again and unfollowed me on instagram out of embarrassment i assume. anyway STRANGELY he actually crossed my mind today, but i have no idea why. lo and behold, despite me changing my number and not having him on instagram anymore he somehow must have remembered he follows me on twitter despite him not using twitter and just tried to invite me to come round at midnight after not having conversed soberly since my birthday in 2021, after he had blown up my phone with missed calls at 3am the night prior. are these boys smoking crack, do they keep a notes list in their iphone when they’re drunk of random people they could try hit up
