my roman empire is that patroclus chooses to ignore his morals and hereby enable achilles until he's forced to face the consequences of achilles's hurt pride but even then he decides to take carw of it himself instead of forcing achilles because the hands indeed did cradle him even though they let go to tend to achilles's pride every time
