“an hour ago was an hour ago. time has passed so we’re closer to where we need to be than we were an hour ago, baby. we’ll get there. you know how far we are just as much as i do,” atlas chuckled. “my goal was to explain to you how much i don’t want this car damaged. the only think i love more than this car is you, theo. you know that,” atlas smiled. “alright fine, my beautifully sculpted boyfriend,” he laughed, biting his lower lip as he focused on the road in front of him. atlas was born an adrenaline junkie. there was nothing that thrilled him more than things that made his heart race. it was why he was so interested in stealing and running. he could run his whole life. in fact, so far if theo and atlas really wanted to settle, they could. as far as they were concerned, the people looking for them were far too close-minded to find them far from florida. “so, theo. is this one of those stops that we’re kindly paying for gas and a popsicle, or are we getting this gas, your popsicle, and extra cash free of charge?” he inquired, passing the cigarette to the male. “wish? was i supposed to make a wish?” he chuckled.
theo threw his head back against the leather seat, trying his best not to groan as he took another drag from the cigarette he stole from his boyfriend. “i know.” he sighed, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand as he flicked the ash. “hm,” he hummed happily, “don’t i know it.” he then laughed a little, shaking his head as atlas complimented him but feeling pleased all the same. “that’s much better.” theo smiled, looking back out his window to the empty countryside that was georgia, nothing but high temperatures and a low breeze and endless fields of grass. he wants to go everywhere with atlas, all over the states if possible before heading towards the border and into mexico, maybe canada but mexico sounds much more fun, besides he can get them around, he knows enough spanish to get them by. he can almost feel the ocean breeze, taste the cold beer and delicious food, have a little home, far from the others with a view of the waves with atlas right there with him, fucking in every single corner of the house. their house. but right now, he had to keep his focus on the open road in front of him, after all, they have to work to get where they want to go. “we could always use some extra cash, it’s been too long since the last one.” he sighed, a smirk creeping up on his face. “duh, it’s the last cigarette in the box, you have to make a wish.” it was a little silly, but theo has a habit where every time he gets a new pack, he pulls out a cigarette, flips it over and tucks it back in and that’s the last one you smoke to make a wish. he’s made a lot of those, so far, they’ve worked.
