Truth: As much as I was excited to be right about there being something off with Tessa pre-reveal, I detest how it ultimately was used/revealed.

Mainly because it showed that Liam wrote the character backwards and basically made Tessa an afterthought.

She’s just a device to move the plot, instead of being a proper character.

And even if say Tessa was always made to be a solver puppet, there would have been room for more nuance if she was written without being attached to Cyn’s hip.

It just falls flat otherwise

Also, if Liam ever did make season two of murder drones what would it even be about?

Tessa escaping her entrapment in the solver network, causing havoc for Uzi until she breaks free?

Then having a word with her old drones from the manor?

I mean would pay for a whole season of Tessa unleashing decades worth of built up sorrow and angst upon the drones she cared about, since it does go against the popular HC that Tessa an Co. would have a happy reunion.

I suspect if they ever give us a Tessa plushie, it will be spacesuit Tessa because for better or worse, that is what they deem Tessa to be as a sellable character.

The ironic thing about the fan made Gala Massacre audio is how incredibly tone deaf the idea that Tessa being skinned alive actually is.

Yes, sure the Gala Massacre would be that gruesome and Cyn could be sadastic to Tessa, but the reason why her situation isn’t fully explained in the show is because it would be jarring to the comedy filtered through out the show.

In fact, it’s safer to believe that Tessa’s fate is a lot more nuanced than simply being degloved, especially if you take Forever canonically. Tessa was assimilated into the absolute solver, her body fusing with Cyn’s. She’s perpetually trapped into the Solver’s web, unable to die.

This allows for a slim hope of being found by the system’s new administrator, Uzi. This possibility fits more with the story told in Murder Drones, than Tessa just dying a in drawn out gruesome fate.
