people telling chatgpt their problems is insane to me like girl just get a tumblr….

i think the thing about me is that i love making things, creating art and stuff, but it will always have a messiness to it. i will never be one of those people who craft to perfection. there will always be a little bit of raw jaggedness to my art—not even in a perfectly imperfect artistic way, but in a manner similar to a child not being able to cut paper in straight line. i draw and paint but the colours don’t look right and its not pinterest worthy. i crochet but it looks crooked and the ends aren’t neatly woven in. i write but i can never do it in one go, my drafts pile up and i revisit them years later, the grammar and punctuation not quite right. i play the guitar but i suck at barre chords and i make music but the production quality kind of sucks—but hey! you know what? im starting to tell myself that its ok. its me and its my art. i have learned that the end result doesn’t quite matter if the journey was fulfilling.

2026 will be my year of creating without caring. i cared far too much about trying to be neat and perfect like other people i forget that a hobby is just a hobby and i tend to compare myself to great people and feel pressured by how many trophies i didnt win and the applause i didnt get. and now im learning to embrace that messy kid energy, to create and craft with the childlike wonder of my younger self like “its ok if this doesnt look like a cat to you, because i like what i drew and this silly little cat is all mine, i made him” :)

we tend to perform for others so much when the whole world feels like a stage. remember that the only audience that really matters is the one whose hands it came from.
