shoutout to my girls who have big appetites. idc about your size, im just talkin about the girls who can eat two hot dogs & hefty servings of sides. girls who can eat a whole small pizza themselves. or medium. or even large. shoutout to my girls who order small servings/one entree at restaurants with friends/families/datemates bc theyre too insecure to eat until they’re full. the girls who monitor their meals in public, eat one donut instead of two when there are free pastries to choose from, are the “biggest eaters” in their family. to the girls who get snide comments from their relatives during holiday meals. to the girls who get rude insults from their relatives during everyday meals. to the girls who get weird looks when they eat a bigget meal with a diet beverage. i see you. i am you. i love you. you deserve to eat. you deserve to eat your heart out until you’re happy and full. your body needs fuel and if you need two sandwiches, a few sides, and a cookie to give your body sustenance, then i am all for that and for supporting you. you are not a burden because you eat more. you are not ugly or embarrassing or weird because you eat more.
Lol all that and you can’t see the need to say “fat” specifically. It’s not a dirty word 🥴 and this seems like it’s commentary on fucking fatphobia!
hi friend! this actually was a post written less about being fat and more about being judged as a girl who eats a lot.
i am a girl. i am fat. sure, this post includes positivity to those who are also fat girls. but this post is inclusive to all girls, whether they're a size small or a 3x. i really don't meant to be rude, so please let me know if this comes off as such, but if you didn't like how i worded my post, you really didn't have to reblog it.
i made this post for a friend of mine who is petite, thin, and she counts her calories. she skips meals and over-exercises. i made this post for another friend of mine who is coming to terms with gaining their "freshman fifteen," that they admitted was actually a bit more than fifteen, and who feels they don't deserve to eat. i made this post for me, on a bad day, when one of my family members joked that they wouldn't have seconds because they knew i would want the food later.
this post has nothing to do with being fat or not. this post has everything to do with girls who get embarrassed about food. girls who are scared of food. girls who don't want to like food.
as i'll say in the tags, the criticism to girls when they eat a lot does stem from fatphobia. i'm not denying that. but i am saying that this post isn't directly related to it. this is just a reassuring post to those who have an uncomfy relationship with food.
freckles. moles. beauty marks and birthmarks. frizzy hair. split ends. big noses. chapped lips. dimples. scars. bitten nails. loudness. these are flaws. these are imperfections. these are beautiful. these are human.
one day last year I saw a girl in a shirt with a band I like on it in a grocery store and I kind of stalked her a bit until she’d cross paths with me so I could stop her and tell her I loved her shirt and when I did she smiled really big and gave me finger guns as a thanks and I think I lowkey fell in love right there

reminder that it’s okay to be closeted and if you are, don’t worry about not being “open enough” or “proud enough” of your orientation and/or gender. you don’t owe a reason for being closeted, whether youre in a potentially unaccepting situation or it’s easiest for you at the time. you may be hidden from society right now, but as long as you keep in mind that you will be happy and out one day, you will be okay. you will make it.
