The young hybrid was just enjoying the nice day out. He was taking advantage of the summer heat not being too bad. Especially since he had picked a bench below a rather large tree. Being in the shade made it significantly cooler. All and all he didn’t have any reason to complain. He was about to take a sip of water when a nearby voice caught his attention. Just had to lift his gaze slightly to see the Mitchell standing there. “Yeah, no one else is.” It wasn’t like he was saving it for someone.

“They do,” Jack said with a nod as he was almost finished eating his ice cream. “It doesn’t taste much different than this.” He didn’t find any foods to be different. At least from what he could recall. “Some times I miss it.” It was home after all. He was raised in the dimension. If that what one would call taking care of Jack after he was born. He missed all the baby and kid stuff. So he wasn’t really raised. “Everything okay?”

Jack was concerned for the guy on the ground but less so after her story continued. He lifted himself off of the ground and looked down at the man again. “Are you okay?” he asked as his attention shifted to her. He wanted to ask why she lied but he used to lie when he was a hunter. So she probably had a reason for it.

Trish was absently eating her own ice cream when the thought hit her ears. She looked down at the ice cream for a second and wondered about it. “Do you want to know if they have soft serve or do you want a clean slate?” She asked as she turned to look at the Salvatore. “Because that’s a pretty big difference.” Did something happen? She couldn’t help but be curious about it.

“You know it’s hard to believe a lie if you don’t keep with it,” Trish said as she kneeled down to see if the guy was breathing. It seemed like he was fine. Apparently from the red around the eyes because of the pepper spray and being unconscious. “Where’s the person they were trying to pull in?” She stood up again and started looking around.

“Running for fun while I can, before it becomes a job again.” He joked, sitting down beside her, leaning back against the bench closing his eyes at the relief that came with a break. “What about you? What were you doing?”

“Let me know how that works out for you.” Trish couldn’t imagine running for fun or for work. It just seemed like it would take all her energy away. On top of that it was summer so she would definitely count herself out. “I’m just taking a break. Thinking about getting a new sofa.” Although she wasn’t quite sure yet.

Kai wasn’t sure if he should answer sarcastically or pretend he didn’t hear the kid. He was going to go with pretend he didn’t hear him. Then the blonde kept talking. He stopped what he was doing to turn to the Salvatore. “You’ll probably find it’s a lot like this place,” other than vampires not being able to have kids. Kai stood quietly for a moment as he looked at the man on the ground before looking to the blonde. It seemed like she gave up on her lie fairly quickly. Maybe she had mistaken him for someone that was going to judge about a body on the ground. He had seen too many dead bodies to have his attention caught by some live one. “Probably was,” he said with a shrug. “Guy looks like an asshole.”

Davina wasn’t usually out this late at night unless she went for a midnight snack or coming from the bar or decided to close up late when she needed to do count at the cafe and make sure everything was in order. As much as she was fine her employees, she always had to double check inventory.

It was a quiet night, didn’t expect much to happen. Going home, shower, and probably make dinner for herself considering kol had an emergency business trip to attend to. Texting him as she walked, davina wasn’t really aware of her surroundings. Focusing as she read, she didn’t realize hands reached towards her in front and pushed her into the building. Her back against the wall.

About to use her magic to kill whoever did it, stopped midway when she realized who it was. “ Kai. What the hell? I could have killed you just now.” She let out a breathe she didn’t know she was holding. “You scared me”

The heretic actually didn’t know it was Davina that he was pushing up against the wall. An instinctual reaction of having someone too close when he was feeling a bit on edge. He wasn’t going to let her know that. He smirked as he lowered his hand to a more relaxed position at her waist. “Oh were you?” he asked with a smirk. He didn’t doubt that she could. It wasn’t like she was some two bit witch but she wouldn’t be the first to try. “Maybe you should look where you’re going. Walking and texting? You’re not a great multitasker.” He was teasing, deflecting. Secretly glad that it was Davina he grabbed. He had been thinking about her.

Trish was just sitting on the bench looking at her phone. She was taking a break from her work day by looking for new furniture online. It wasn’t a waste of time at all. She wasn’t the time to make such a purchase without changing her mind at least four times. She looked up when she heard someone’s voice. “Hey,” she smiled when she looked up to see her cousin. “Yeah, sit down. What are you up to?”

Niko had just got off work fro a double tour which included staying overnight at the station. He went to the cafe to grab a gallon of coffee and something sweet. His mind was for the strawberry rhubarb coffee cake. There had been quite the line in front of him and even more behind him. He decided to take a seat at one of the empty tables. It wasn’t planned but his head shifted to rest on his arm. He had fallen asleep in the corner of the cafe. @aeternumstarters

After dying Kai no longer ignore the emotions that he got from the merge with his younger brother, Luke. The only problem that after a long day of taking in account the little annoying voice in the back of his head was exhausting.

So instead of taking the usual way home the heretic parked his car and started walking in the dimly lit street. There wasn’t many people out this late. It felt like a breath of relief not to have think about how each step might affect another person. Not that he was nearly that considerate of other people. It was more not flaying the irritating man driving like an old lady.

He was ignoring the world around him when he felt someone behind him. Too close. He whipped around and pushed the person into the building next to him. @aeternumstarters

It seemed like it was a nice day so when it came to for a lunch Jack decided to take it outside. He had a pretty simple lunch but when he sat down he realized that he left his drink and candy bar in the fridge in the employee section of Nook.

He didn’t think anything of it when he left the food on the blanket on the ground. It was only going to be a second before he was back as he was right across the street from Nook. He could have teleported but he simply rushed across the street.

When he came back he laughed as he saw some stray had made it’s lunch out of his. “I should have thought about this happening,” he said to himself as he sat back on the blanket. He would just eat the candy bar. It wasn’t a BLT sandwich but couldn’t go wrong with chocolate. @aeternumstarters
