I received a copy of the art of Yasuo Ōtsuka today. The now 83 year old is a veteran of the animation industry and his Lupin III artwork is my favourite!

His full colour artwork isn’t always spot on and perfect, but his illustrations are always so full of energy! The characters look great and the poses are always a lot of fun.

Also, the second half of the artbook is a manga illustrated by, you guessed it, Yasuo Ōtsuka! The world needs to see those bottom two images!

The truth is that Jigen IS irresistible…because he is right, he is way more handsome and warm-hearted and not have a monkey face. Also, for me, THIS monkey faced bastard is the cutest thing in this whole serie. (Sorry for this semi- positive “rant”, but Im so in love w these guys again and I cant pick one. :D )
