Article #1 -MORALITY

Morality by virgin Krimdom from cave 74

What is morality really? in simple definition it is something that guides our actions but unlike our raw instincts it helps in judging the consequences to our actions, determining what is right or wrong and taking our time to judge our choices rather than to act on pure whim.

But is it just that ? there are lot of questions that can be asked from just this definition alone; for example who decides what is right or wrong? you ? me? one person surely can't decide that right? but then who else a group of people? between two choices if the masses/majority decides that one answer is right or wrong even then it won't work because at the end of the day a majority maybe right sometimes but what if the people choose wrong? What about the law? well..... law isn't necessarily a moral right or wrong thing it's generally just a neutral concept used to structure the society yes, but as history has shown some laws aren't always necessarily right and/or may not encompass all the scenarios, nuances and situations that arise due to extremely specific events that may not have been thought of when law was created.

But then again yes, one person might not get to decide what is right or wrong but they can at the end of the day at the very least have their own moral compass which helps them keep themselves in check and yes laws are not always moral but that's why we have judges and jurors(not cave 47 though they are ruled by some racist tyrant or some shit and don't have a judiciary ,we don't know what goes on in there but nobody really likes cave 47 anyway).

But the thing that is worrying mostly and majorly about our own moral compass is bias. Individuals have biases , some like marriages , some like sex cave orgies, some weirdos hate the gays (looking at you cave 2),some are biased towards certain races(cave 47,again cave 47 not good),some have biases they themselves don't know about such as biases towards pretty things ,towards things we may have sentimental values towards such as our own children over other kids etc.

Now you may think what an essay with nothing new to say about morality is in this journal but remember we are still a new civilized society and we need to define certain fundamental concepts such as this early on so that we can later on build on these fundamentals as we grow more nuanced. moving on.

But another arises how do you define right or wrong ? above it was who gets to decide it and now it's how? how do you? how do you set aside your biases and look at the facts? what stuff is against the law that we just think as "yea that makes sense" rather than asking questions as to why ? Is it always just the stuff that might disrupt society? because disruption in society can be brought about just by telling certain truths? so should we lie? art can be discomforting sometimes ,begging question about topics we ignore ,should we ban art then?

how many times we think "it's illegal because it's weird" or "it's illegal because it's disgusting" rather than asking questions that reveal the consequences on such things.

But then again i am just a lonely cavemen who gets no bitches , so i spend my time writing these thoughts and at best this article might spark some discussion (rather than people just nodding their head in agreement) and at worst people might discard it as something without any proper insight and i get bent.

Hiya folks!

We are the cavemen scientific journal , what is it you may ask? WELL... It's a blog , a webcomic and a journal? at the same time?(we are pretty confused too).

The journal consists of articles , articles about physics, chemistry, inventions, philosophy but all from ancient times written and recorded by the cavemen from the stone age!

It's humorous, satirical and yet at the same time educational?(Again we are still fighting on what it is),BUT whatever it is it is always entertaining.

but you may ask who are you? and what is your part in this ? And well we are just cavemen too and we are the ones who bring you all these articles, we as in just the two of us....,BARRY(local caveman ,writer and cave painter),KARI(Local gatherer and editor),But two is enough to write about the knuckle-headed Cavemen.
