In the moment he realized that she swiped his hat, a hint of rage bubbled up. His hands igniting in a very faint dark flames as if to match his current state. But it would only take another moment to realize how pointless it would be to react in such a way. There was zero gain in attacking a child. If he really wanted her to leave it would be best to play along for a bit. With a huff, the flames were immediately snuffed out and he snatched his hat back. Returning the hats back to where they belonged.

“It doesn’t match. My hat is not designed to go with your outfit.”

Oh, another case of amnesia. While he was curious how those white coated guys did so it only annoyed him, much like other things in his nature of hatred. Not having the mood to play with the rookie Avenger he moved his hand casually in a mocking way, or at least to make himself look important.

“You’re the Avenger Class Servant, right? Well, you gotta keep respect for your elders rookie! I am the original Avenger, and as I already said your name I guess I have to do the same. Angra Mainyu. Nice to meet’cha.” He extended his hand for a casual handshake, after all one’s gotta keep face.

“Nothing in particular, I was strolling and then saw you. Can’t a nice senior say hi to his junior?”

“Oh? so we have another Avenger Class Servant in this city? That damages the value of the extra class, but I suppose no other class would fit a fiend such as yourself.”

“As for myself, I’m a man of many names. Sinbad the Sailor, Abbè Busoni, but the most famous would be the Count of Monte Cristo. The Japanese have taken to calling me Gankutsuō. Use whatever name you find fit, it does not matter to me.”

Finally taking his hand for the handshake. While this man did claim to be the original Avenger, something about him seemed off. It was impossible to say what it was at the moment but it would be wise to not let his guard down around him. “Pretty humble for a god of darkness aren’t you?”

They seemed like a reasonable fellow too so he was sure there was lost they could commiserate over. It would be nice to know a villain that was neither above or bellow him in rank. Perhaps he could even make a friend. “Yes, forgive the suddenness, I was only seeking some like minded conversion. Have you killed any hero’s recently?” Was that too casual sounding? Kurogiri coughed nervously.

“Self-proclaimed villains? That’s new to me.” While he may also consider himself a villain, that was only because of everyone’s perception of him. The victors would naturally write themselves as the heroes. To him, all of his action were right and just. If God would turn a blind eye on the innocent, then he would step in to deliver his judgement. So the idea that him and his students actively sought to be ostracized was strange to say the least

“As for ‘hero’-slaying, I would have to say that my kill count has been lacking ever since I’ve arrived here. However is working behind the scenes here has found a way to limit me. So for now I’m simply biding my time. Waiting for the perfect moment, whenever it may arrive.”

Staying all day on the chapel wasn’t pleasing for him. Given his nature as a troublemaker he would come out of the place a couple times in the week, not only he did so so he could feed his beasts but to simply mess around.

He knew very well that a bunch of Servants were around, while he actually couldn’t care about them he was actually curious about two certain ones, they were on the same class as him which could be considered impossible, after all the Avenger class was created only for him, until now of course.

He had met with the two of them, one was a darkened version of a saint and the other one was a man from a certain tale of vengeance.

He was interested, both as a senior and as the one who carried All the Evils of the World.

Oh, a lucky shot. Just as he was thinking of them one appeared in front of him. What was his name again? King of the Cavern? Yeah, let’s go with that.

“Yo, fancy meeting ya again. How has the vengeance thing been going?”

Never before in his life has he seen this man before. But it was apparent that he must have been a Servant just like him. Also one that seems to know who he was, or at the very least some insight into that fact.

“So it appears that my reputation proceeds me. I can’t say that we are meeting again but everything is proceeding as it may.” As it stood, he currently had no targets. But that didn’t mean that he wouldn’t lead someone else along their own path of justice.

“It’s not everyday I have someone address me so casually. Especially those who seem to have a hint of who I am. So that begs the question. What business do you have with me?”

An interesting fellow. Not only had this man just chatted with the onis Kurogiri was running from, but they seemed to be acquainted with him in some aspect. Strange, given that he did not strike Kurogiri as a figure for Japanese folk lore. Then again, he hadn’t believed that Shuten was an oni to begin with. Given that this was the time of ghosts and spirits, trusting appearances alone was not always enough.

At least being beside them meant it was unlikely those demons would return again. “Greetings.” He was not very good at approaching strangers who he had to business with, this was painfully clear. “Are you a villain as well?” Skipping right to the point but to be fair, they did give off an air of malevolence. At least if he was right then they might have something to really talk about.

It could go without saying that the other man’s appearance was unique to say the least. If the mist that seemed to envelop his body was simply part of a costume then he had to applaud him for his efforts. But if that was normal for him than this could be much more interesting.

“Oh? What gave me away?” As if his appearance didn’t already make it known. “A strange question to ask someone you’ve just encountered. I can’t help but think that you must also be one thanks to it. Would you also consider yourself a villain?”
