I don't fw anything anymore...
not even myself
"i know this show was made for children but i enjoy it too." > awesome and cool. watch whatever you want forever.
"i know it LOOKS like it was made for children but its SECRETLY for us. calling it a kids show is an insult cause kids could never understand these THEMES and EMOTIONS. we're the TRUE fans." > i dont think i trust your opinions. you seem lame as fuck.
i really thought the point of "being lgbt+ doesn't absolve you of racism as a white person" was that white people arent absolved of racism by being marginalized but it really seems like people think other marginalizations make it okay. no being disabled doesn't do it. no being poor doesnt do it. we need to fight against racism actively no matter what.
it bothers me when someone brings up misogyny in shounen anime and people shrug it off with "its designed for teenage boys, what can you expect." like well. idk i think its actually pretty important that shows for teenage boys are normal about women. i mean i think all media should be normal about women but teenagers are impressionable i think we could put a little bit of feminism in the teenage boy shows. it might do some good. you never know.
I like characters who are women and they suck and are bad people. Bonus points if she never really faces consequences.
I think it's actually healthy to have at least one life aspiration that's abnormal to want and impracticable to achieve. It lends a sense of perspective.
Remember when joining fandom as a younger person meant lurking for a bit and figuring out the vibe and etiquette instead of coming in on day one and calling people weirdos for liking weirdo shit in the weirdo factory.
i feel like when a fandom gets too large, the fanfiction that corresponds with it has a far more loosey goosey grasp on the characters, which leads me to often just reading fic of said characters like this

The witch hunt for the fifteen year old girl who insulted "56 inch ka chota bandar" got me genuinely scared. And then he had the audacity to say he forgives the kids. First, no one asked for forgiveness. And second, where is the apology from you and your andhbhakts and your dalli sarkar when they are giving death threats, rape threats, calling slurs, abusing and using most vile and misogynist stuff to literally anyone and everyone out there?
I swear to God the video of that girl apologising gave me anxiety. This is our democracy? This is our freedom of speech? Maybe it was in bad taste. But it wasn't a goddamn crime. And just because she apologized, doesn't mean she is safe. Those goons and thugs who have plastered her face everywhere have compromised her safety. I am genuinely scared for that girl.
For all the kattar dharam ke rakshak, I hope you remember that our religion also has the concept of karma. And whatever abuse you are putting others through, it would come back to you. I hope you uphold your religion then.
