It’s hard to believe we’ve made it. That we are a mere days away from wrapping our arms around him.
I’m taking note of what we have and placing orders for what we lack. I spent the better part of my workday looking up parks and playgrounds. And daydreaming about early morning coffee errands with my three kids and wonderful husband.
I look back on this mostly empty blog and reread the posts of hard seasons.
And God was faithful even then. At my lowest, he was protecting my boy on the other side of the world.
We are coming for you, sweet boy. And I can’t wait to tell you how we’ve been waiting for you. I can’t wait to tell you how much you’ve always been wanted.

Patiently waiting for my baby boy to come home. Soaking up moments when life is easy. Moments when V is reading to C and it’s evident that the hard work of homeschooling has paid off. Moments when the girls love each other well. Moments where the joy and health that we’ve worked so hard to attain are instantly visible. It’s good here. I like this place.
