tj settled into the booth at deja brew. he had consumed so much espresso that his heart was racing and he knew that meant it was time to work. the man put on his headphones and pulled his blanket around him and he hunkered down and began working. it wasnāt long before he felt his eyelids beginning to get heavier and the next thing he knew, he was waking up with his head on his laptopās keyboard. quickly, he sat up and looked around hoping no one had noticed until he caught someone staring.Ā āwhat?ā, was all he could squeak out, his brain still half asleep, unaware of how his words could come across as rude.
adelaide always looked forward to her day off. she made sure to sleep as long as she could and only leave her apartment if she absolutely had to. she didnāt have to, but she really wanted one of deja brewās croissants and while she was there, she might as well pick up a chai latte. the blonde made the short walk to her favorite cafe and stepped inside taking in the sights and smells. she placed her order and turned around, eyes scanning for a place to sit. her head tilted softly as she watched tjās head whip up from the keyboard. a small chuckle slipped past her lips as he questioned what she was looking at. āyouāve got a key imprint on your forehead.ā she hummed. āmind if i join you?ā
